S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Well since they've scored, we've turned **** by the sounds of it. Torquay pressing more and we keep giving the ball away/giving away free kicks.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Because he has Thomas and Perry in front of him.... It's their fault he was so far out of his goal V Rovers, and that he missed the ball just now?
John B Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 The only time I have seen Torquay was 18 January 1965 when they lost to Spurs in the FA Cup after drawing 3 3 at home. When was the last time Saints played Torquay?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 It's their fault he was so far out of his goal V Rovers, and that he missed the ball just now? tbf, i hate to moan about him, but he shouldn't have been as far out as he was on Sat. either...
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 The only time I have seen Torquay was 18 January 1965 when they lost to Spurs in the FA Cup after drawing 3 3 at home. When was the last time Saints played Torquay? 3 seasons ago in the FA Cup third round, away at Plainmoor. Rasiak scored 2 in the 2nd half for a 2-0 win.
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 It's their fault he was so far out of his goal V Rovers, and that he missed the ball just now? Yep they were obviously to blame Sorry, missed the irony smiley on the last post. Zubrowka & Apple Juice this evening
Katalinic Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 The only time I have seen Torquay was 18 January 1965 when they lost to Spurs in the FA Cup after drawing 3 3 at home. When was the last time Saints played Torquay? FA Cup away a couple of seasons ago.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 tbf, i hate to moan about him, but he shouldn't have been as far out as he was on Sat. either... Agreed. Like you I think he's fantastic, but he is making more and more mistakes. All I want to know is why? Is he getting complacent?
Thedelldays Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I'm sure we won't lose but I wonder what the uber fans will preach if we do
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Yep they were obviously to blame Sorry, missed the irony smiley on the last post. Zubrowka & Apple Juice this evening Fair enough. What's the temperature there?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Agreed. Like you I think he's fantastic, but he is making more and more mistakes. All I want to know is why? Is he getting complacent? have we changed our GK coach? although prob wouldn't make too much of a difference tbf.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I'm sure we won't lose but I wonder what the uber fans will preach if we do "We don't care, league is more important". I am one of your uber fans no doubt, but I still want us to win this f*cking stupid pot of paint trophy.
beatlesaint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Why has Davis suddenly reverted to his 06/07 form? Well I didnt like to say that in case I was taken out and shot but he has looked a little more shaky of late than he has for a long long time.....I guess its just a thing all keepers go through like outfield players, but they get away with it !
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Lots of pressure from Torquay at the moment, we've completely lost in the game atm by the sounds of it. They're winning all the balls in the box...that's why Perry cannot play in League 1...
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 6th corner now, James takes, Hammond with the header and Thomas tries to stab it in but it gets cleared. On the break James fouls a Torquay player and gets booked.
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Fair enough. What's the temperature there? Thanks to plenty of ice, probably just above freezing which is how Vodka should be, .....as for outside, seemed to be a nice 35ish when I was out at lunchtime, just getting into our outdoor season. Lots of gigs and events coming up How can James get a yellow FFS hope that doesn't cost us in an important game
Saint Fan CaM Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Hi All-how many 1st team other than Davis are playing?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Hi All-how many 1st team other than Davis are playing? Harding / James/ Hammond / Lambo / Papa
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Well I didnt like to say that in case I was taken out and shot but he has looked a little more shaky of late than he has for a long long time.....I guess its just a thing all keepers go through like outfield players, but they get away with it ! OR..... It could be that now he has a defence in front of him he gets bored or loses concentration with nothing much to do, unlike last year when he had to make a world class save every 3 minutes OR......... too busy being Captain could be another one.... has to come out to the edge of his box to shout at the others!
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Sh*t myself then when he said we were going to listen to the Bournemouth game, I was like "erm excuse me?".
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Really like to win this and every game but not overly bothered about this competition tbh. I suspect all the wailing about how crap we are and pardew not having a clue blah blah blah will all come out should we lose.. So....COYR
Window Cleaner Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 but I wonder what the uber fans will preach if we do Concentrating on the League of course.Understrength side, injuries, ref, luck, you name it, they'll say it. The side we have put out;well it's not our "strongest" is it.
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Technical update Hammond & Gillett haven't got forward enough to support Lambert in the space between Antonio and Papa. Antonio looking useful but lacking composure
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Lol, Penalty to Torquay, Davis is probably off.
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Penalty torquay yellow for davis utterly shambolic performance by us
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 KD could be sent off Penalty to Torquay FFS Phew Yellow
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 0-2 Wow how much they have to pay for this tonight ouch
Window Cleaner Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Lol, Penalty to Torquay, Davis is probably off. should improve our chances then;);)
aintforever Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 ****ing disgrace losing to **** like Torquay, no excuse.
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 2-0 good one saints Shows what a difference the likes of Trotman/Jaidi has made to us - we're abysmal at the back without those. Not sure Gillet is doing himself any favours either has he touched the ball?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 According to SSN Torquay are starting with a 3-5-2 formation. Pretty adventurous stuff away from home? Looks like it might pay off.
Edmonton Saint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 FFS, This is a joke. The side Pardew out should have been better than being 2-0 down to Torquay.
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Altogether now AP out - embarrassing us by fielding a weakened team.... Sweepstake on the first moaner to say that in the post match thread Oh I just said it I won!
benjii Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 ****ing disgrace losing to **** like Torquay, no excuse.
Thedelldays Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 This is an utter embarrassment no uber fan can excuse this crap
beatlesaint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I am a little bit annoyed that Torquay have obviously not followed the plan. We are supposed to be going to Wembley and winning this comp !!!!!!
BadgerBadger Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I thought after Sat performance that our next is really important to how we handle our current situation - looking like we need a rocket up our bums at half time
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 This is an utter embarrassment no uber fan can excuse this crap
benjii Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 According to SSN Torquay are starting with a 3-5-2 formation. Pretty adventurous stuff away from home? Looks like it might pay off. They've been in our half about twice. I'm not decrying them but don't suggest they've taken the game to us and outplayed us.
Plumstead_Saint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I am a little bit annoyed that Torquay have obviously not followed the plan. We are supposed to be going to Wembley and winning this comp !!!!!! Yeah. Someone have a word?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Altogether now AP out - embarrassing us by fielding a weakened team.... Sweepstake on the first moaner to say that in the post match thread Oh I just said it I won! It's not really a weak team though! still the likes of lambo/hammond/davis/harding/papa out there! this is all about attitudes tonight...and it's all wrong.
Window Cleaner Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Thank fook KD didn't get a red card! why? we're 2-0 down and he was responsible for both of them (or so it seems) Bart couldn't do much worse and I hear he wasn't at all bad at Barnsley(well I think that was the bloke said, I don't speak Yorkshire so I might have got it wrong).,
benjii Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 This is an utter embarrassment no uber fan can excuse this crap
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 ****ing disgrace losing to **** like Torquay, no excuse. We used to say that when we lost to lower league teams when in the top flight but now we are a lower league team so no great shock is it really?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 tbf though.....i'd rather we lost this 2-0 and won away at Southend 2-0. not sure many fans would disagree with that.
