sad saints fan Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 3-0 or 5-0 hopefully. COYR. You got a problem with even numbers?
Um Bongo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 You got a problem with even numbers? Yup, evil things. OR it could be to do with winning money. 2-0 is just too boring for me.
Camera Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 If Thomas doesn't play tonight here's why; check out the pardew freeview clip on the OS - just before the end he get the ball in a very unpleasent place!
Pancake Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 (edited) Waigo 3-0 Why not go 3-0? Edited 6 October, 2009 by Pancake
saintjay77 Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I think we should go all out to win this trophy. It's not mickey mouse to regulars in this league and would not only be a statement of intent but surely lift the whole city and the players involved, should we make Wembley again seeing as though the play offs are far from a certaintee COYR I think NC (not 19C) mentioned how empty the trophy cabinet is and wants that to change. As the 1st opertunity to do something about that is this cup then I dont see why the club wont take it as seriously as others involved. Would be nice to win it and in a few years time look at that trophy cabinet and see the the JPT trophy as the 1st of a few. That said I can see us going out pretty early as our cup success against lower teams is usually kak. I have a few Torquizzle friends down here so would be nice to be on the right side of abuse tomorrow.
Professor Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 I'd really like to see Garyn Preen coming on at 65 minutes. He's been at the club since he was 12 and you can't help hoping that he might be the next Walcott or Bale. Pardew must rate him to have had him on the bench on Saturday, even if it was just to get used to the atmosphere. Whether he gets on is likely to depend on how the game is going, but fingers crossed for him.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Starting eleven: Davis, James, Thomas, Perry, Harding, Wotton, Hamond, Gillet, Waigo, Antonio, Lambert Pretty strong team, should be good enough to beat Torquay. Big changes at the back though and how fit is Thomas exactly?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Still really disappointed not to see holmes - not even on the bench?? he needs a game - obvious that pards' really doesn't rate him tbf. Bit of a gamble throwing antonio into the game!
syd_barrett_saint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Subs: Bialkowski, Lancashire, Mills, Paterson, Saganowski. Seems that Pardew really doesn't rate Holmes at all...
alehouseboys Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 they are like £5 No they're not. £15 tonight for adult non-ST holders, I believe £7.50 if you produce your ST. Cheap for kids tho.
John B Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Still really disappointed not to see holmes - not even on the bench?? he needs a game - obvious that pards' really doesn't rate him tbf. Bit of a gamble throwing antonio into the game! No Saga either dont see the Point in playing Lambert as he could get injured
VectisSaint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 No Saga either dont see the Point in playing Lambert as he could get injured Saga on the bench. Don't see point playing him he might not score. We can't rest everyone just because they might get injured, plan is to win the game, winning breeds confidence, therefore put out strongest team available, taking account players who may be carrying a knock already.

Yes but Saga needs to play I would have thought but dont disagree with you but we should beat Torquay easily Lambert is so key for us during the rest of the season.
fish fingers Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Yes but Saga needs to play I would have thought but dont disagree with you but we should beat Torquay easily Lambert is so key for us during the rest of the season. Why? We have better players than him. I'd rather see Paterson playing ahead of him.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Atmosphere sounding brilliant so far. Antonio shot, corner Saints.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Waigo sounds veeeerry dangerous. Great save by Bevan (lol), Antonio hits it across goal from a tight angle but it goes for a throw in.
jamesfp1 Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 i swear commentary just said pards did a backflip in the technical area!?
the saint in winchester Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Subs: Bialkowski, Lancashire, Mills, Paterson, Saganowski. Seems that Pardew really doesn't rate Holmes at all... Bialkowski? Is he back from loan already?
John B Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Bialkowski? Is he back from loan already? Well what do you think
beatlesaint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Bialkowski? Is he back from loan already? Ignore the sarcastic response above - he was on an emergency week loan which ended yesterday.
Micky Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Anything happening... Playing tonight... Kicked off.... Scored....????
John B Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 (edited) Ignore the sarcastic response above - he was on an emergency week loan which ended yesterday. Well it was not sarcastic if Bart is on the team sheet he is obviously back I would have thought as you say he was on emergency loan But I agree that I seem to be a bit grumpy tonight Edited 6 October, 2009 by John B
the colonel Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 is anyone else having problems with saintsplayer? it's saying not available yet, check later!!
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Anything happening... Playing tonight... Kicked off.... Scored....???? 4 corners so far, Waigo and Antonio sounding direct and dangerous on the wings, our extra man in the midfield is making a ton of difference. And the atmosphere for a 7 o clock tuesday game in the second round of the JPT is outstanding. Think we've got over 9k there to be honest.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 is anyone else having problems with saintsplayer? it's saying not available yet, check later!! Mines working fine.
the saint in winchester Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Ignore the sarcastic response above - he was on an emergency week loan which ended yesterday. Thanks Beatle. I've read John B's postings before - he has a way about him. Indeed, I had a feeling it was only a week, time has flown by. A week's a long time in footie - beaten by Brizzle then we hammered the Gills. Welcome back, Bart, sorry you still can't get a game. :-)
Thedelldays Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Anything happening... Playing tonight... Kicked off.... Scored....???? All saints so far. But you would hope so. They are the second worst team in the country that utterly cringe worthy chant of "we're the Northam/itchen over here"
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 All saints so far. But you would hope so. They are the second worst team in the country that utterly cringe worthy chant of "we're the Northam/itchen over here" Oh noes, peoples having a laugh at football!!!11

Micky Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Many thanks - no radio link and have to rely on you guys for updates - cheers.
the saint in winchester Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Sorry a bit grumpy tonight Ne dada, Juan. We're both saints fans and we like a bit of banter. Yeah, maybe my question was a statement of the bleedin' obvious. I hadn't realized it was only a week's loan. OK, back to the game. Surely a goal soon?
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 LOL we're 1-0 down, Davis came to claim a ball, missed it, ball rebounded off a Torquay player and went in. First time they've been within 30 yards of our goal.
LatvianTolix Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 whhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttt????????????????????????
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Well, that was perfect timing, forgot about the early start even though I knew it started early, turn on Saints player and they score hmm
Micky Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 How can we be losing 1 nil - I thought that AP said we were going to Wembly...??
beatlesaint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Torquay lead 1-0 davis screw up should have played Bart
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Why has Davis suddenly reverted to his 06/07 form?
Mr X Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Cant really get that excited about this to be honest, the league is priority. Obviously we want to win though but not the end of the world if we dont
Window Cleaner Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 LOL we're 1-0 down, Davis came to claim a ball, missed it, ball rebounded off a Torquay player and went in. First time they've been within 30 yards of our goal. Great, now they'll put 11 men behind the ball and let us huff and puff for a bit.Still shouldn't be too difficult to break them down.
dubai_phil Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Why has Davis suddenly reverted to his 06/07 form? Because he has Thomas and Perry in front of him....
