Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 How did the loanie from reading play? Sounded dangerous at first, but faded after Torquay scored and was taken off at half time for Mills.
Master Bates Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Get the !"$£^&)*(&^%$^£$%&(*^%^&* in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
saint_stevo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Very poor first half, not helped by AP deciding to play 4-5-1. Against lower league opposition. At home........
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Very poor first half, not helped by AP deciding to play 4-5-1. Against lower league opposition. At home........ How did Gillet play?
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Very poor first half, not helped by AP deciding to play 4-5-1. Against lower league opposition. At home........ Very good second half. Helped by AP completely changing the formation and tactics.
saint_stevo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 How did Gillet play? Not great, poor control let him down and not in it really
Master Bates Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Is the ref coming in for a tackle? Looks like it, Boris Johnson stylee.
saint_stevo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Very good second half. Helped by AP completely changing the formation and tactics. Agreed. So why start with 4-5-1 in the first place?
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Agreed. So why start with 4-5-1 in the first place? Because that's how we lined up V Gillingham?
S-Clarke Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Not great, poor control let him down and not in it really Possbily down to lack of games tbf shame - would have thought he was one of the guys who would want to stand out tonight and make AP aware of him.
krissyboy31 Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Is the ref coming in for a tackle? Yes but unfortunately he wasn't fit enough!!
Joesaint Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Very poor first half, not helped by AP deciding to play 4-5-1. Against lower league opposition. At home........ As it worked on saturday maybe he just wanted the players used to playing that style, then on video after can let them know mistakes. we do need more depth in areas and as mentioned before get rid of the dross. I am a 4 4 2 man myself but I def don't claim to know more about football than AP if I said play 442 because I think its better I'm sure he'll laugh at me.
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 L-O-F*CKING-L at Bournemouth. They get a penalty 5 minutes from time, Skate Lee Bradbury steps up and misses, then gives one away in the 92nd minute which Northampton score.
saint_stevo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Possbily down to lack of games tbf shame - would have thought he was one of the guys who would want to stand out tonight and make AP aware of him. Pretty much what i put it down to, and pretty much what i had thought pre-match. Nowhere near as tenacious as normal either
saint_stevo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Because that's how we lined up V Gillingham? Well it didnt work tonight did it, not even close. We were no threat to them in the first half
Saint_clark Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Well it didnt work tonight did it, not even close. We were no threat to them in the first half Hindsight is a wonderful thing. We scored 4 against Gillingham playing that formation.
saint lard Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Thank goodness we don't come up against teams that are the same calibre as Torquay week in week out.
saint_stevo Posted 6 October, 2009 Posted 6 October, 2009 Hindsight is a wonderful thing. We scored 4 against Gillingham playing that formation. Lallana must have been good on saturday then
