bit childish i know...but always seem to have a favourite player...

however, as the team is growing together as such, don't know who to choose....

my possibles..

Kelvin - great pro and example at the club

Hammond - deffo captain material and a beast in the middle of the park

Morgan - I really rate him

Lambert - say no more

Lallana - local lad coming good

I like all the big butch players with some agression...it helps if they have some pleasant manners after they have kicked someone....like helping them off the deck after they have been treated. The soft cuddly players can stay in the reserves.

Davis obviously, the man is class.

But i think we can now add Hammond,Harding and Lambert to that list.

Makes a change having good players who actually give a fook doesn't it.

Isn't he going to be missing for most of it with England U20 games?

Like the senior team, the U-19s are away between 9 and 14 October. Think they have three games in that time, so it definitely rules Mellis out of the Southend game and potentially the Oldham game.

There is no stand out candidate for me yet, but there are several contenders.

Lambert - 6 goals isn't too shaby, but half were penalties and 1 was against Northants in the CC. Will need to tap a few more away before I start believing the hype.

Lallana - Nice to see he's found his shooting boots, if he can keep it up I'll be delighted. Let's hope it's not just a flash in the pan.

Kelvin - Obviously

Harding - Seems a very good, honnest hard working player at this level.

Can't comment on Hammond or Smurf as I haven't seen them play yet.

I'm a big fan of Dan Harding, he has given us something we have been missing for a long time, a Proper Left Back.

I particularly like his tendancy to have a go at the ball boys when he dosent get the ball quick enough, shows his passion and commitment to the game, and if he wants to take a throw quickly and dosen't get another ball fast enough the ball boys get told to give it to him quicker.

For me its between:

Kelvin Davis - club legend, obvious reasons

Dan Harding - rarely has a bad game, always solid

Radhi Jaidi - ditto Harding and wins every header

Adam Lallana - been fantastic in recent weeks

Rickie Lambert - been fantastic since he signed, has been working hard on fitness, always gives 100%, if only he could get more service...

so you have chosen your favorite player on the basis of how well he shouts at little kids?
