Thedelldays Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 been watching wolves v pompey on a stream and pompey have been farking lucky
brightspark Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Awesome free kick by Halford... Great save by David James Out to Ebanks Blake, misses a sitter. Still Skates 1 up
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 It was to Lowe and Wotte. Wotton played then...
dubai_phil Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Just under 20.000 again at SMS Lambert off for Patto
SaintRobbie Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Well seems to rather strange to me Why not give Holmes a go or give Patterson a run out Because Gillett is actually quite good? Mind you Holmes has potential. Also, Lallana was recovering from injury was he not?
sydney_saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 An old head with a bit of authority. Is it really rocket science to so many ? I understand where you are coming from but where was his authority at the start of this season?
SaintRobbie Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Wotton played then... Sometimes and only after the Xmas dawning. The rest of the wise old players paid to sit in the stands was who I was referring to.
dubai_phil Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Well seems to rather strange to me Why not give Holmes a go or give Patterson a run out Both on now HTH
alpine_saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 I understand where you are coming from but where was his authority at the start of this season? To coin an excuse made by many, the beginning of the season was complete chaos.
John B Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Because Gillett is actually quite good? Mind you Holmes has potential. Also, Lallana was recovering from injury was he not? I could have understood Gillett replacing Hammond Wotton or Mellis but not Lallana
LaptopSaint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 An old head with a bit of authority. Is it really rocket science to so many ? Wotton has been embarrassingly pants every time I've seen him play. That"s not rocket science, it's fact. FACT. If he's done well today hats off to him though.
suewhistle Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Morgan S is patently a better player than Wooton, and from seeing him at Huddersfield and SMS on my last trip home not a bad tackler, but he's by no means a defensive midfielder. Today's formation certainly seems to be suiting the opponents. Robustness and a bit of pace seems all that is needed to counteract some teams in this division.
SaintRobbie Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 I could have understood Gillett replacing Hammond Wotton or Mellis but not Lallana But I think Lallana has been recovering from a minor injury.
alpine_saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 I could have understood Gillett replacing Hammond Wotton or Mellis but not Lallana He got the team tactics right today; expecting him to get the subs right in the same step is a bit greedy...
Chris Larkin Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 An old head with a bit of authority. Is it really rocket science to so many ? He was absolute balls for much of last year, so you'll understand why some people might not have wanted Wotton to play. Still, if one of our players deserves a place in the team on current form then he should have it. Healthy competition for spots is a very nice problem to face.
alpine_saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Wotton has been embarrassingly pants every time I've seen him play. That"s not rocket science, it's fact. FACT. No, its OPINION.
sydney_saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 To coin an excuse made by many, the beginning of the season was complete chaos. So surely an wise and experienced head was needed to stand up amongst the chaos? I must admit though I can only go by reports on here but many were saying that he should never be seen in a saints shirt again.
SaintRobbie Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Pompey won. But Wolves shouldve had a penalty and James made a good save. Oh well. Still going down with lowest ever point score in the premiership methinks
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Portsmouth won, which is good... ...as it gives Hart a stay of execution,
sad saints fan Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 No point at watching this board tonight because nobody will be commiting suicide
SaintRobbie Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 4-1.... another prediction comes true! Happy days! Alan Pardew's Red and White Army!
leithsaint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 A win. A big cheer at the end. And now in positive points. Come on Saints!
alpine_saint Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 Positive points at last. Mawhinney can kiss my shiny red arse. Playoffs here we come....
Micky Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 ugger pompey win with 40% posession Yeah but the good news is that Hull have also won and the two teams above Pompey have 2 games in hand still.
John B Posted 3 October, 2009 Posted 3 October, 2009 No point at watching this board tonight because nobody will be commiting suicide There is always next Friday;)
