Patrick Bateman Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Pompey-owner-Sulaiman-Al-Fahim.5698502.jp The latest excuse, I assume, for not "transferring" the money? I do feel sorry for our blue neighbours!
Pancake Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 The latest excuse, I assume, for not "transferring" the money? I do feel sorry for our blue neighbours! Was my first thought too. Not the feeling sorry bit.
norwaysaint Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Pompey-owner-Sulaiman-Al-Fahim.5698502.jp Nice English in that first paragraph.
saintwarwick Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 The latest excuse, I assume, for not "transferring" the money? I do feel sorry for our blue neighbours! Certainly seems that way.
saintwarwick Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Also why would you want a series of photographs to show evidence of being in hospital?
Crab Lungs Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 I hope sincerely he's not ill, but something tells me that this man is quite possibly the biggest, biggest bull****ter in the world.
Hatch Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 I suppose it's a better excuse than just hiding under the bed till everyone goes away.
Hatch Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 and will that mean they wont get paid today ....again.
dubai_phil Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Hope he had enough money to keep his medical insurance premiums up to date. Otherwise Skates will have to sell another player to pay his medical bills. Who WRITES these scripts?
OldNick Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 does anybody else think it is like when Basil Fawlty got in an embarrassing position when he was talking to his guests, to divert attention he collapsed
OldNick Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 'call me a doctor' 'I always call you a doctor, Dr' 'no call me a doctor' 'I ALWAYS CALL YOU A DOCTOR, DOCTOR'
Hatch Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 does anybody else think it is like when Basil Fawlty got in an embarrassing position when he was talking to his guests, to divert attention he collapsed LOL, exactly like that.
Saint_clark Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Something similar happened with Weymouth not long ago. The bloke who was meant to be taking them over apparently had a heart attack a couple of hours before the deal was to be finalised, and then "saw what his real priorities were" before disappearing.
Hatch Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Maybe he has taken out a huge life insurance policy and is going to fake his own death.
Master Bates Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Just found out it's only shock. Apparently there's been a misprint on the documents he's signed. It should have read "I will PLAY for Pompey" and not "I will PAY for Pompey".

Gemmel Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 I actually think this is positive news for our fishy friends. The "Save of Face" exercise has begun. He will now sell to Storries mob, due to ill health and ironically probably make a few million out of it all.
stevegrant Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 I actually think this is positive news for our fishy friends. The "Save of Face" exercise has begun. He will now sell to Storries mob, due to ill health and ironically probably make a few million out of it all. I'm not convinced he actually owns anything yet. From what I understood, while he's put down guarantees that he'll service the debt, Gaydamak still owns the majority of the assets, which won't be handed over until the fake doctor pays off the rest of whatever Gaydamak is owed. As such, I don't think it's actually possible for Storrie and his consortium to buy the club from the fake doctor.
JonnyLove Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Apparently he needs surgery for Kidney stones http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8286657.stm

bridge too far Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 You've got to be kid-ding. Well, he did front a 'Renality' show. Sorreeeeeee
warsash saint Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 I am just waiting for the pantomine horse to come on as a sub for the skates against Wolves tomorrow. Probably still outclass Surman
Crab Lungs Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 As such, I don't think it's actually possible for Storrie and his consortium to buy the club from the fake doctor. 4_5?
Johnny Bognor Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Well, he did front a 'Renality' show. Sorreeeeeee Come on BTF, that's just taking the pee.
Greenridge Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Surely he could do some DIY-doctoring to save a few pennies on health care insurance? I see on teletext 'gossip' that the Premier League may step in to save Portsmouth from going into Administration. How does that work then?
Clapham Saint Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Surely he could do some DIY-doctoring to save a few pennies on health care insurance? I see on teletext 'gossip' that the Premier League may step in to save Portsmouth from going into Administration. How does that work then? It doesn't. HTH.
Greenridge Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 It doesn't. HTH. Care to elaborate? If not why bother posting.
Clapham Saint Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Care to elaborate? If not why bother posting. Because I couldn’t be bothered to re write what I had said on the other threat. If it keeps you happy though... Unless the Premier league are going to pump in cash to meet the clubs financial commitments, or use their time machine to go back and prevent the club from incurring the liabilities in the first place I don't see how that is possible. If there was a different way that the club's current finances could be run in order to prevent administration I'm sure they would already be doing it. Sounds like a rule "for show". And how would they fund things to January? The Banks, players and suppliers will still want paying. The PL can't stop QFCs appointing administrators if that is what they chose to do. Long story short. If the PL want to step in to prevent administration they need to do so BEFORE all of the mistakes are made not after, by which time it is too late.
Kev Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Slightly off topic. But why do multi-millionaire footballers still get paid weekly? Even people on the dole get their money every fortnight these days.
Clapham Saint Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Slightly off topic. But why do multi-millionaire footballers still get paid weekly? Even people on the dole get their money every fortnight these days. They don't. They get paid monthly, it is just common practice to describe the amount weekly. Probably as a hang over from the days when they would have earned significantly less.

Prehaps you could have just pointed me in the right direction instead of the sarcastic comments. Thank you for the explanation.

He really should be officially known as "Dr Saints"
Lets B Avenue Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Didn't he promise to "leave no stone unturned" in order to get finance? Or is he just ill "in principle".
Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 The two chaps who won his "Apprentice" copy tv show still havn't recieved their "UP TO $1 million investment" yet.....
Kadeem Hardison Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 Well, he did front a 'Renality' show. Sorreeeeeee No he didn't.
SO16_Saint Posted 2 October, 2009 Posted 2 October, 2009 The two chaps who won his "Apprentice" copy tv show still havn't recieved their "UP TO $1 investment" yet..... corrected your original message for you....
