bungle Posted 1 October, 2009 Share Posted 1 October, 2009 My tickets have arrived, hurrah. Can officially get excited about going again now. Although the way the Bucs are playing at the moment it looks like it might be an absolutely awful game! Got tailgate tickets as well. Apparently they are doubling the number of people selling beer there this year, which will be good.
Hatch Posted 20 October, 2009 Share Posted 20 October, 2009 (edited) Just won 2 tickets, so I will be going now. Won tickets via my bookie. Tie breaker question was ' what will be total points in the Cleveland / Pittsburgh game?' My guess was 35, the answer was 31, so I don't think they had that many entries.!!! View From The Top Posted 20 October, 2009 Share Posted 20 October, 2009 I have sold 2 x £55 + 2 tailgate for £249.99 & 2 x £45 for £199.99. The profit means that my day out for the game, with my nipper, is a freebie.

I'm not going as the ticket prices are silly. When I went the first year, my seat cost me £45, that same seat is now £75.

My £45 ticket the first year actually cost me somewhere in the region of £135, as I couldn't even give my two spares away outside, partially due to the rain, and partially because EVERYONE there had about twice as many tickets as they needed and they were all trying to get rid of spares. Until the Giants come back I couldn't give an ar5e about NFL Wembley matches though.

Big pre-match party type thing with beer and cheerleaders outside Wembley from 11-4. It's alright, but you can only drink Coors. I might be popping into the "Crock of Gold" pub first for a bit as well. Just a few hundred yards from Wembley Park tube. Presume your mobile number hasn't changed from Forest away? bungle Posted 27 October, 2009 Author Share Posted 27 October, 2009 still same number, not sure what time I'm getting there though,. need to get rid of kids first. Hmm, only just read this, hence I didn't text/call you! Didn't go to tailgate in the end. Queue was a mile long, so stayed in the pub! Game was a bit lop-sided, but at least the two interceptions of Brady and the Tampa TD late in the first half kept the interest going for a bit longer. Still, always awesome to actually get to watch an NFL game.
Hatch Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 I couldnt get in the Crock of Gold pub, too busy, as were most of them, All packed with glory supporters watching the footy. Ended up drinking outside some pub near where the X-Factor is filmed so managed to see WestLife, Simon Cowell and others......swooooon.. My seat having a beer holder was the highlight of the day for me.

Got in there at around 11.30, left for tailgate at 12.20, and got back to the pub at 12.35! It did get rather rammed later on, but actually the service at the bar was pretty quick. The highlight of my day was going to the bar, chatting to some Australian guy about the rugby league the night before, and then him buying me my two drinks. If you're reading, cheers mate! Really disappointed I couldn't make it up there this year, but hopefully with 2 games next year I can make one of them. Hoping for Colts v Texans so I can wear my Manning jersey...
