Basically, it's either:

 

A) The squad's just not good enough, or;

B) Pardew just isn't good enough.

 

We should be coasting just below mid-table by now, but we are just blithely plodding along and I am starting to get concerned. I concede, Rovers are a good side but I think we have a very good group of players too and we are starting to look in need of fresh ideas and impetus.

Pardew needs 3 points on Saturday and a convincing win or time for an urgent change. 1 win in 10 is pathetic even in the circumstances. We are going to League 2 if we don't bring in some decent loan players and some leaders. I was at Carlisle on Saturday and whilst we played decent stuff at times, something is not right within the chemistry of the squad. Every game is now a Cup Final.

Thats an odd sentance. The second part explains the loss, but its hardly unexpected. Bristol have dropped 8 points out of a possible 30. Top three in the league. To get two past them is an achievement.

 

I just wonder why fans are acting like we expect to stuff everyone 4-0, then get overdramatic and call for sackings when it doesn't happen.

Obviously listening to the radio isnt as good as seeing it happen but sounded to me that Mills came on and did diddly why oh why can we not just use a quality winger in Holmes. And with our squad, that is what we should be aspiring to ! We may have "competed well" against a top three team, but you don't get points for trying, and we don't win against the lesser teams, ( Carlisle 18th, Stockport 16th, Millwall 15th ).
