Weston Saint Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Emergency loan to Barnsley is rumoured
RedAndWhite91 Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 On the Barnsley OS: http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1810835,00.html Even though the picture they have up is of Kelvin Davis, not Bialkowski!
Scummer Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 They must have changed the picture. I clicked the link and saw Bart.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 I still see Kelvin, even has "Kelvin Davis" written on his glove!!
Colinjb Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 A chance for him to prove himself. Best of luck to the guy.
Weston Saint Posted 28 September, 2009 Author Posted 28 September, 2009 Will leave us a bit short on cover! Forecast???? Bring back Dexter Blackstock
DT Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 'Bartosz Bialkowski' means Barnsley in Polish. True fact.
John D Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 gone for a week according to official site - back next monday
Rory Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Was immense before injuring himself against Newcastle and never really recovered from it.
saint-ross Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Any first team experience will be good for Bart, even if it is short-term - Good move allround!
once_bitterne Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 gone for a week according to official site - back next monday What is known in the trade as 'a Sol Campbell'.......
Ash Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Mark Robins must have been impressed with him in the game we played against Rotherham last year, which is surprising as I consider it the worst goalkeeping performance I have seen anyone in a Saints shirt put in. The lad has obviously got potential though, and we have too many keepers.
Northam Girls Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Let's hope Michael gets a chance as no 2 - he's better than both Bart and Forecast
Saint_Si Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 'Bartosz Bialkowski' means Barnsley in Polish. True fact. As opposed to a false fact.
Matthew Le God Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Let's hope Michael gets a chance as no 2 - he's better than both Bart and Forecast He is with Torquay United.
eurosaint Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Tommy will be on the bench for tomorrow night, that's my Forecast anyway !!
DT Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Tommy will be on the bench for tomorrow night, that's my Forecast anyway !! Tommy sure plays a mean football.
dronskisaint Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Tommy sure plays a mean football. Trouble is he stands like a statue....
Dark Munster Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Any first team experience will be good for Bart, even if it is short-term - Good move allround! Errr....assuming Kelvin doesn't get injured in the next couple of games. If he does, it's a bloody bad move for Saints.
S-Clarke Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Errr....assuming Kelvin doesn't get injured in the next couple of games. If he does, it's a bloody bad move for Saints. It's only for a week though, should be ok...
saintjinksie Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 judging by the goals they let in at qpr they need him
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Errr....assuming Kelvin doesn't get injured in the next couple of games. If he does, it's a bloody bad move for Saints. If Kelvin were injured all recent experience shows that Bialkowski would be a complete disaster , even more worryingly this may well also be true of Forecast . If it were my choice Poke would be recalled as our second choice keeper and the other two shipped out - but I don't know who'd have them to be frank
the saint in winchester Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 What is known in the trade as 'a Sol Campbell'....... ok, that made me laugh out loud ...
spyinthesky Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Richard Wright was immense for us the season before last Wasnt impressed with him v Newcastle on Saturday but better than the 3 we have in reserve
Flyer Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 judging by the goals they let in at qpr they need him I was there and he was shocking, the 4th goal was hilarious. It wouldnt surprise me if Barnsley tried to sign him on a permanent.
krissyboy31 Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 I was there and he was shocking, the 4th goal was hilarious. It wouldnt surprise me if Barnsley tried to sign him on a permanent. They can have a BOGOF deal if you ask me. Buy Bart get Forecast Free, a damned good deal (for us)!!
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 It's only for a week though, should be ok... 1 week?? That sounds more like a trial to me... unless we are trying to give him a little holiday to do a bit of hiking on the moors.
Chez Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 anyone able to tell me how is Andrej Pernecky coming along?
Bailey Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Good move for all concerned. Enables Bialkowski to gain some first-team experience and he should come back to Saints better off for it. Only a short-term loan too so not as if we've only got Forecast to replace Davis should anything happen to him.
Chez Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 What's in it for us?? apart from some much needed additional experience, improving relations with Barnsley, getting an unhappy player out the door for a few weeks, a chance to advertise one of our players to a potential buyer, possibly a loan fee or his wages paid?
Danbert Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Was immense before injuring himself against Newcastle and never really recovered from it. I disagree. He's always looked absolutely dreadful when I've seen him play and I've never been able to understand why people big him up on here.
krissyboy31 Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 apart from some much needed additional experience, improving relations with Barnsley, getting an unhappy player out the door for a few weeks, a chance to advertise one of our players to a potential buyer, possibly a loan fee or his wages paid? It's only until next Monday!!
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 I disagree. He's always looked absolutely dreadful when I've seen him play and I've never been able to understand why people big him up on here. I think it's fair to say there were the makings of a promising keeper in Bialkowski when he first came here , but ever since his serious knee injury he's been gash in all honesty . I assume the injury has healed properly so it's just a massive lack of confidence that's holding him back - many would say a Goalkeeper who doesn't believe in his own abilities has no place in professional football . For his sake (& more importantly ours) this player needs to either sort his 'head' out or find another club .
wild-saint Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 'Bartosz Bialkowski' means Barnsley in Polish. True fact. Bialkowski in Latin means " talented, athletic & confident" Unfotunately Bartosz means " Not Very"
Dark Munster Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Bialkowski in Latin means " talented, athletic & confident" Unfotunately Bartosz means " Not Very" :smt043:lol::smt023 And apparently "Tommy Forecast" in Latin means "Even Worse."
krissyboy31 Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Bart in the starting XI and Barnsley 2-0 up at half-time.
