Andyb1 Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Don't suppose anyone is driving down from London for the game 2moz are they? If so i'd be interested in going/sharing petrol etc. Any one interested let me know please as the train is 30 notes return
saints_is_the_south Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 You could get the greyhound coach from Victoria for a quid, don't know how much it would then be single back from Soton Central.
Scummer Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 Wait til 5.10 Wednesday morning and you could get back to Victoria on the Greyhound for £4.30.
Andyb1 Posted 28 September, 2009 Author Posted 28 September, 2009 sounds awesome..... NO one driving from London?

The Banana Factor Posted 28 September, 2009 Posted 28 September, 2009 I would also be keen to chip in if we could get a few of us going.
Andyb1 Posted 28 September, 2009 Author Posted 28 September, 2009 I would also be keen to chip in if we could get a few of us going. All we need now is a car, do you have one?
teamsaint Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Can you do groupsave on the train from London?
teamsaint Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 to answer my own question, looks like you can. 4 or 3 go for the price of 2.
Graffito Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Get a Network Rail Card. £20+ for the year and you get the third off the price of the standard fare.
thesaint78 Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 I have one of these Graffito - gives the same discount for up to 4 people travelling with you so if 2 / 3 people regularly go together you could get one between you. If there are 4 of you the group save would prob be the cheaper option
Glasgow_Saint Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Whatever you do, don't accept a lift from St Will or kpturner, unless you want to die or be responsible for the death of a small child. sound as a pound advise.
Flyer Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 As someone who regularly goes the other way to games. The train is good but expensive. Greyhound has a great service with 2 feet of leg room and reclining chairs and also great customer service. ie they gave me a free ride because a competitors coach didnt turn up last Saturday. They also have free wifi, sockets for comps and free papers. If you book early, its £2.50 return and its also 45 mins quicker than NE as the coaches are direct. National is also cheap but you are packed in like sardines and the coaches are usually very hot and they dont use the AC. They also stop at Winchester, basingstoke and Heathrow.
kpturner Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Whatever you do, don't accept a lift from St Will or kpturner, unless you want to die or be responsible for the death of a small child.LOL - Now your are going to upset OP with your wind up trolling. By the way, which part of "I was not driving" don't you comprehend?
St Will Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 IfI was from London I'd take you, and get you there quickly, waahaay
ozzmeister Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Not going for midweek but will be for Saturday (by train) - not sure though if I will be going back on th Friday or Saturday yet though.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 IfI was from London I'd take you, and get you there quickly, waahaay How quickly?
SNSUN Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Driving down from Berkshire for the game, where's the best place to park? I was going to drive to Winchester and get the train - any better ideas?
Charlie2008 Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Sainsburys/M&S at Hedge End is a good bet and convenient for the free bus ride. Untried for evening matches however. Unsure of availability of buses that way around 10. Good luck anyway. Wish I could go...working in Cornwall at 07:30 Weds.
twoandahalfstuds Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Maybe some of us could meet up at Waterloo and get a group saver - the only thing is you're supposed to travel together - could be an arse on the return journey?
