dan17 Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 I loved The Dell.............saw my first match there when i was 6.....it seemed like home then and no feeling has ever come close to cheering a goal at that place! Its a shame we had to leave (but we did have to leave).

Not only that I missed it at the game as well. First time I'd ever gone for a **** during the match, took another 24 years before I'd do it again (by which time I just knew there was nothing to miss).
jim_bergerac Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 Can't believe I missed this - hold on its being repeated on Sunday at 2.50pm. Like so many others its was the first time I saw saints on the telly as a 9yr old. It was on the Friday night on BBC1. Happy Days!

I suppose it wasn't knee deep in mud, but 'good condition', THEY JEST.... shows how bad pitches were back then. 6 weeks before I got married. Still married and both season ticket holders.
