Thedelldays Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 the usual line I know..they are all big weeks.. 3 games....two at home Carlise - Away B Rovers - Home Gillingham - Home will be tough...I hope for 7 points.. Rovers will be tough they have won their last 3....gillingham, would like to think we will turn them over..
S-Clarke Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 Will be tough against Rovers, looking forward to the home games though. Always feel you have to make the most of back to back home games...perfect opportunity to spring yourself up. Carlisle won't be easy though, this will be one of those typical L1 games...similar to Swindon/stockport...i just hope we're more prepared this time. (we've got better players now anyway) Would be nice to keep the unbeaten run going too, we'd be onto 8 unbeaten if we get through the next 3 - that's not too shabby.
trousers Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 Would be nice to keep the unbeaten run going too, we'd be onto 8 unbeaten if we get through the next 3 - that's not too shabby. Unless, from those unbeaten 8 games, we end up gaining 11 points out of a possible 24 of course....
St Marco Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 Would be very happy with 2 wins out of the 3. But minimum must be at least 4 points in my book. Bristol are obviously going to be a very tough game for us but if we can win tomorrow then it wont be as bad. If we can come through those 3 games without losing we will equal our games without losing record. As far as i can tell that record is 8 set in 2006?
SNSUN Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 7 has to be the minimum if we want to progress. Any less than 7 points will be a right shytter. It'll be interesting to see how we fare on the long trip to Carlisle. I suppose poor Exeter have it worse. I'd certainly like to see us beat them more emphatically than Poopey did, though I'm not holding my breath. We need a few goals from open play to REALLY get the confidence flowing.

SNSUN Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 we are flying there and back..so the team cant use the "long trip" as an excuse really.. We won't need the use of an plane if we win. We'll be "flying" home on a high.
Thedelldays Posted 25 September, 2009 Author Posted 25 September, 2009 We won't need the use of an plane if we win. We'll be "flying" home on a high. wow man...that is deep
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 I look forward to each and every one of them, even if it does mean a early start tomorrow. 7 points would be great, Bristol Rovers is going to be a tricky one.
dune Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 9 points from these three games is achieveable. I still think the play-offs are realistic with the team we've got. Come on Saints, now is the time to get into gear.

Charlie Wayman Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 Hand on Heart? 2 points only. Fairy tales are just that.
Jonnyboy Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 9 points from these three games is achieveable. I still think the play-offs are realistic with the team we've got. Come on Saints, now is the time to get into gear. agreed . but id settle for six
Jesus Reigned Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 7 points will do me from those 3. I don't want much.....
Rasiak-9- Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 Someone said that apparently two points a game will get us onto 74 points - probably enough for the play-offs. So whilst its gonna be tough its certainly achievable. I'm still hopeful for the Rovers game, don't forget we still haven't lost at home in the league since the 2-3 against Charlton last season.
Legod Third Coming Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 9 points is essential. Nothing less.
Thedelldays Posted 25 September, 2009 Author Posted 25 September, 2009 9 points is essential. Nothing less. i would get called unrealistic and all sorts if I posted that
RonManager Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 i would get called unrealistic and all sorts if I posted that Try it and see.... :smt036
Colinjb Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 9 points is essential. Nothing less. I concur. We will walk this league. Well, we have to be capable of walking one of them.....
Legod Third Coming Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 i would get called unrealistic and all sorts if I posted that Because you are a miserable fecker.
Ludwig Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 if we get 9 points, the rest of our season will go swimmingly.
Thedelldays Posted 25 September, 2009 Author Posted 25 September, 2009 Because you are a miserable fecker. wow...only took you one sentance and not a whole, chest thumping speech to write that...... :smt036
Legod Third Coming Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 if we get 9 points' date=' the rest of our season will go swimmingly.[/quote'] no, if we win every game, then yes. But 7 points would be a pretty poor return!!!
Legod Third Coming Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 wow...only took you one sentance and not a whole, chest thumping speech to write that...... :smt036 Wasted on you DD! At least you're cheering up! You'll be happier in three games and nine points time mind.
Rod Le Shearer Posted 25 September, 2009 Posted 25 September, 2009 9 points is essential. Nothing less. I agree - if our ambition is to fight for a play-off position....which,IMO,should be our target !
John B Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 the usual line I know..they are all big weeks.. 3 games....two at home Carlise - Away B Rovers - Home Gillingham - Home will be tough...I hope for 7 points.. Rovers will be tough they have won their last 3....gillingham, would like to think we will turn them over.. I like you expect that at sometime after the nightmare of the last five years or so we will start winning regularly again. I cant really see why we cannot get 7 or even 9 points in the next three games but we talking about SFC and recently they have flattered to deceive. Eight and half hours and we will know whether the first three points are in the bag
ottery st mary Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 Fully expect 9 points from our next three games....We have the team in place now and no reason not to start a big winning streak. COYRs
Jesus Reigned Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 We've won 1 of our first 8 games; balance of probabilities would not suggest that we are about to win our next 3, but I would gladly be proven wrong!!
Wiltshire Saint Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 Someone said that apparently two points a game will get us onto 74 points - probably enough for the play-offs. So whilst its gonna be tough its certainly achievable. I thought a draw was one point and win three points? How do you get two points? Maybe a goal less draw is one point and a score draw two?
boxosponge Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 Someone said that apparently two points a game will get us onto 74 points - probably enough for the play-offs. So whilst its gonna be tough its certainly achievable. I agree Rasiak 2 points a game from today and we would end up with 74 (84 less 10) 8th Place last season was Southend with 71 points 7th was S****horpe with 76. Achievable but not really likely
boxosponge Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 I thought a draw was one point and win three points? How do you get two points? Maybe a goal less draw is one point and a score draw two? Win today and get 3 points, draw Tuesday and get 1 point. 4/2 = 2 per game average Carry on ad nauseum for the rest of the season.
Saint Bones Posted 26 September, 2009 Posted 26 September, 2009 Well the gaffer has said two wins is a must... So I think we can't lower our expectations lower then the manager. 7/9 Points,, Hopefully the latter.
trousers Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Unless, from those unbeaten 8 games, we end up gaining 11 points out of a possible 24 of course.... Hmmm.....
alpine_saint Posted 29 September, 2009 Posted 29 September, 2009 Well just messed this week up. Nothing new there...
