Pardew's comments are really quite worrying. It suggests to me that he is losing the dressing room especially if he is too partisan and has favourites who can do no wrong whilst others who can do no right.

The classic case is Simon Gillett, reliable stalwart last year and a shoe-in for the new Scholes. Now suddenly he can't even get on the bench. Gradually all our young ex-Academy players have been sidelined in favour of the blokes that Pardew has brought in; Jaidi apart can anybody say hand on heart that we are any better for it. The football has deteriorated that's for sure and results are certainly no better than last season's.

No wonder the guys are getting hacked off, sort of been-there, done-that frustration as the new methods seem to them just to be different rather than more effective.

Also, Pardew's frankness may signal that he really is under pressure from up above to deliver so best to start blaming the players before the **** hits the fan and he has no where to hide...

Just a thought.

Sorry but I've read some malicious **** on here but that takes the biscuit. From a manager that says he feels that some of the younger players are complacent to losing the dressing room and the football has deteriorated oh and he's under pressure from above! All in one post! Jesus H Christ.

Also as said earlier if he came out and stood up for that type of behaviour you people would just shoot him down for not making a stand, you can't have it both ways lads.

Sorry? Can't agree with any of that.

Esp. that the signings have made us no better

Hammond - will be our outfield captain eventually, and has been excellent for us. His showings so far demonstrate IMO what we missed in the middle last season.

Harding - speaks for himself, lining himself up for player of the year if he keeps his performances up. Wasn't as good last week - but still has been a huge success so far.

Lambert - Leagues top scorer, will score goals if you get the service to him. Every team in this league would cry out for him. Fact.

Trotman - has improved our set play dominance instantly, wins everything and puts distance on it. Hope we sign him.

Not sure really how you can say that, esp ''Jaidi apart'' when he's only played 90mins. Not saying his crap...but how can you write the others off, yet say he's ok - but he's played less minutes?

Gillet isn't playing because IMO hammond is similar and better. He's a good little player, but at the moment based on options i wouldn't play him.

There is sanity in this world.

I dont think it is possible to be impartial on this forum.

You have to be anti Lowe and not suggest alternatives to the suggestion that Pardew is always right and other managers that we have had are useless

Well said. I am another who is tired of the very happy clappy AP supporters club come what may and with no - as yet substance! When is this AP euphoria going to come more into line with the football we are playing which so far, is as poor as I can remember for many years.

I'm not saying sack him - yet, but Christ, he's bought some good players but abjectly failed so far to get them playing football...........

Maybe it sends a message to the world that Saints are no longer that club which lets you get paid for doing nothing?

Maybe those who are trying hard keep being let down by those who would rather **** about?

As stated before think it is the right thing to do. He makes it clear those types of things will not be tolerated here without saying names.

Well spoken. Those who work really hard and still fail need to be defended, but those who seem not to care need a rocket. If they still don't get that the professional game is about winning, then we know that they don't belong here. This isn't boy's football anymore, this is the professional game.

We are still suffering that this lack of pride and endeavour has been allowed to fester and grow in the club. AP will have to be the one to eradicate it and I have no doubt that he will do so. That is the only way to get back to winning ways.
