Fitzhugh Fella Posted 23 September, 2009 Share Posted 23 September, 2009 Regarding the piece in the PM about 'nearly given his identity away so if you realise who it is please say nothing for now' why the hell didn't FF reword his PM so he wouldn't 'nearly' give away the identity of his informer? Seems to be a very poorly worded message IMHO. Talk about baiting. Jesus Christ - it was a pm, I wasn't that bothered about 1 person discovering who told me. The reason I revealed as much as I did was to try and convince OB the reliability of my source. If I said Joe Bloggs told me the story would not have held much water. swannymere Posted 23 September, 2009 Author Share Posted 23 September, 2009 WHY DON`T YOU GET THE ECHO TO CONTACT YOU FOR FANS INFO? Why dont you contact the echo and give your views ? Then maybe we could slag you off! Maybe because i'm cowering behind my keyboard Personally, i'm not an attention seeking ****end so i'll share my views on the interweb with fellow geeks and losers, oh and by the way i'm a horrible, horrible **** and enough people hate me already
dune Posted 23 September, 2009 Share Posted 23 September, 2009 I used to have time for SISA during the Lowe Out struggle, but the performance of Perry MacMillan at the fans forum made me cringe. He came across as a complete div and his "speech" was of no interest to anyone apart from himself. SISA are as much a supporters group as the Saints Trust in that neither represent anyone apart from the people who run them.

St. Jason Posted 23 September, 2009 Share Posted 23 September, 2009 I think the Op may have been referring to this..... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4643446.Feelgood_factor_is_back_at_St_Mary_s/ The last paragraph is ridiculous IMO and why can't they let it all lie. Nothing to do with sensible ticket prices then? Look mate, I agree lets let sleeping dogs lie but lets be honest, the reason attendances are up IS because Lowe & Co have gone. The attendances went immediately he left last season, after every season since and including relegation the attendances have dropped, apart from this year. Us fans can see the old regime have gone and are never to return, we can see a future, which the majority couldn't see under Lowe. Yes let sleeping dog's lie, but don't deny the facts. Onwards & upwards.COYR
docker-p Posted 23 September, 2009 Share Posted 23 September, 2009 When are the ****ing Echo going to wake up and realise that the nomark, attention seeking ****wits from SISA (current membership 6?) don't speak for the majority of Saints fans and that they have their own agenda? I understand that feckless, lazy journos would rather go to rentagobs like SISA because they're lazy idiots but please show a little integrity! How long before our socialist friends decide that having a billionaire owner is wrong? Rant over. How about you standing up and being counted in public, so you can be quoted and then put up with faceless no marks popping at you at every opportunity? No didn't think so. Is this Saints related or is it just Swanny ego-rant? i have NO preconceptions and no pro/antis. Just live with it, eh? i own zilch f the club and nor does anyone else apafrt from HL, so get used to it.

Saint in Paradise Posted 23 September, 2009 Share Posted 23 September, 2009 A bit off topic I know but I feel that it should be pointed out again that posting PMs on here is a very nasty thing to do. I loose any respect I had for the poster, always assuming of course that I had some to begin with. To me it is just like waving an anonymous letter at an AGM claiming it supports the person doing said waiving. Same type of person IMHO.

No didn't think so. I didn't put myself up as the self-proclaimed spokesperson for the Peoples Republic of Judea, oops sorry meant to say Saints. BTW docker-p this is a public forum, does that make you a faceless no-mark as well? What is your agenda, Swanny? What is your main desire(s)? is it just ranting randomly on the interweb? No agenda, just wanted to put forth a personal point of view, if anyone agrees? great; if they don't? great. My main desire? Trumush Posted 24 September, 2009 Share Posted 24 September, 2009 Serious question If everyone thinks the media should not speak to "supporters groups" reps i.e Mick O'Callaghan SISA and Nick Illingsworth Saints Trust ,because they "don't represent us ",who do we all think they should go to for a soundbite, because like it or not if anything newsworthy happens at a Football Club,a fan's representative will always be sought for a comment. Idea's guys ??

Idea's guys ?? Lawrie McMenemy? Oh wait he doesn't want to buy a ticket allegedly so doesn't want to go anymore. Matt Le Tissier? Dodgy because he might take le tiss. How about standing outside the Megastore or in West Quay and for someone wearing a Saints shirt, they will be guaranteed to be a real fan with real opinions whether they are agreed with by others or not. You don't need a representative unless they have been elected by the fans to speak on their behalf. What happens if you want a quote from the general public with regard to city council issue, for example. The general public's self appointed representative? No, you go to WH Smiths and ask the first person who picks up a Daily Mail for a 'When in Rome' quote or similar.

Redondo Saint Posted 24 September, 2009 Share Posted 24 September, 2009 This would entail the Echo (and the TV companies for that matter) being a bit more proactive, unfortunately they tend to be lazy, ie :- Q. Who can we get some comment from. A. SISA gave us a comment last time we'll just talk to them again. They dont care if they are unrepresentative. Its just easy. Another case of the decline in modern journalim. Non investitagive, not meeting people, not getting out there where it happens, just sat behind a computor screen. Rant over as well. +
