Papa Injured

Papa brought real threat to the attack against Yeovil. He did tend to be offside a lot, and Rickie Lambert mentioned the need for him to sort that out but he is definitely a handful for defenders which will result in scoring chances for other players as well as for himself. As for the report of an injury - so what if it is true, injuries come and go in football.

What worries me most is that Pardew hadn't seen him play before we signed him. If that had happened under the previous regime the forum would be in meltdown mode by now.

Signing a Fiorentina reserve and Senegalese international is going to be a bit of a no-brainer though anyway isn't it ? I mean, we are bottom of the third division and all... what are the chances he's NOT better than some of the existing squad ?

I'd be bloody shocked and a little bit frightened if anyone had watched Poo-lis before we signed him for a start.

...............again , and not wishing to irritate anyone, before we all jump in the itchen -

Um, I don't think there'll be a queue.... In fact although I have sometimes been annoyed with the hyperbole of some posters I'm beginning to feel sorry for some of them, they are just so over the topwith their comments. That, or they make me laugh out loud!

So I see that you totally ignore the fact that AP fully checked him out before signing him then! Bugger me you won't accept the fact that the previous regime fcked us up big time will you!

Now lets discuss the 7 crap loans last season...on second thoughts don't bother as you never go how would you know what they are like anyway.

Give it a rest both of you

Not everything the last regime did was wrong and not everything the current regime will do is going to be right but without any financial problems they have a better chance of succeeding

Yeah! Lets all run for the hills, bury our heads in dismay....

FFS, the OS says he was was subbed at the ressies game "as a precaution"..... lets see what transpires from that.....

As for it all being Pardew's fault for signing injury prone players...... **rolly eyed smiley**

And finally, can we lay off slamming the players others see fit to play on a regular basis - just for once......

We (the fans) have a history of destroying players with ridiculous statements about being fir to wear the shirt for this reason and that...

Kelvin Davies a few years back anyone? He showed us what determination and loyalty is actually about....

Even Jason Euell! Slated by som many (inc me!), but came back determined and showed he was actualy a useful player too!

Lets get away from the sweeping statements like "gives the keeper catching practise" - because that's clerly not the case and makes you look (even more) dumb....

I'm sure AP and his team will keep building the confidence in the team, keep some stability in team selection (even if someone has an off-day) and bring us success.

Looking forward to Carlisle now! :-)

09.08 on a Wednesday, shouldn't you be half way up the M1 by now ??

FFS.

I was being sarcastic, Alpine.

Sometimes this forum's wild swing from depression to mania and back again surprises even me. It only takes one of our players to get injured or sign for another team for them to go from no-hoper to vital linch-pin.

Don't have to look too far for where much of the lack of belief has taken nest at our club...
