BadgerBadger Posted 22 September, 2009 Posted 22 September, 2009 Whilst checking out wiki on the great man I noticed it is next Tue 29th Sept - can we all chip in for a big cake for the fella (preferably one where a scantly clad women emerges) as a half time treat. It's the least the man deserves. We can all sing Happy Birthday and then collect our slice before the second half. Should be a spicy affair with the Bristol Rovers - Rickie Lambert reunion!! Happy Birthday for next Tuesday Mr Liebherr=D>
Colinjb Posted 22 September, 2009 Posted 22 September, 2009 Some sort of gesture would be a good idea. Even if it was just an engraved bottle of special whiskey. I'm sure something less melodramatic would go down just as well.
Spudders Posted 22 September, 2009 Posted 22 September, 2009 (edited) We could get swiss rolls Edited 22 September, 2009 by Spudders

rpb Posted 22 September, 2009 Posted 22 September, 2009 Delgado was upset when nobody remembered his birthday - I doubt that Markus would be too concerned.
Saint_Jonny Posted 22 September, 2009 Posted 22 September, 2009 Its also my birthday that day (really!) Im 21 I feel this is more important.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 22 September, 2009 Posted 22 September, 2009 Its also my birthday that day (really!) Im 21 I feel this is more important. We can sing happy birthday to you as well then:smt064

sussexsaint Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Turn up in paper party hats and sing happy birthday every few songs. He'll love it Gotta love this idea and party blowers
rallyboy Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 How about a cake that Torres jumps out of, dances like a girl for a bit, then signs a loan deal and scores us forty five goals?
Vic Mackey Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 How about a cake that Torres jumps out of, dances like a girl for a bit, then signs a loan deal and scores us forty five goals? Not very realistic, imagine how big the cake would have to be...
master Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Not very realistic, imagine how big the cake would have to be... Still a nice idea though
wild-saint Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 How about a cake that Torres jumps out of, dances like a girl for a bit, then signs a loan deal and scores us forty five goals? knowing saints it would be the torres that posts on this forum that we would sign. Would prob be funnier though
St Lej Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 My birthday too that day. I will be 28. 10 quid and a card from everyone would be most appreciated
MorningtonCrescent Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 [quote=St Lej;4 55683]My birthday too that day. I will be 28. 10 quid and a card from everyone would be most appreciated I'm sure we could rustle up £10 between us all, but the card thing is too big a challenge.... 1) Where would we find a card big enough to get everyone's names in 2) Logisticaly, we couldn't get it around all the SWF users, Dubai, LA, Brussels, Sweden, Australia etc..... Perhaps give us all more notice next time?? As for ML's birthday, as much it would be a nice touch for the fans to give him this small gesture as a way of thanking him, there will be plenty who cry out "happy clappers", "face painters" etc etc... and refuse to join in, so the idea is doomed from the start.... If someone tries to start up Happy Birthday from the Northam, I would guess that very few would join in! But I do hope ML enjoys his birthday! Perhaps he'll be at SMS, perhaps he won't? Either way, I'm still very grateful for the measured way he has gone about his business and for the progress we have seen so far - both on and off the pitch. Long may he remain, building a solid foundation on which to grow this great club..... onards and upwards! (Carlisle is certainly "up"!)
Ashby Saint Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Best birthday pressie from Saints would be a win on Saturday and bye bye to negative points.
Doctoroncall Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Best birthday pressie from Saints would be a win on Saturday and bye bye to negative points. that's if we don't win at Carlisle... down negative man, down!
sussexsaint Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 that's if we don't win at Carlisle... down negative man, down! er that is on Saturday mate
red&white56 Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 We could get swiss rolls I prefer the ones with cream in as well as jam.
Charlie Wayman Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 So is this all talk 'badgerbadger' or is something gonna happen, 'cos if the latter then somebody needs to get on with it? Cut the jokes, make it happen and set up the dosh account and organise somebody to do the honours. Why not get Capelli or Pearce down so he can look at Kelvin Davies at the same time. There isn't anybody better certainly not that idiot who plays up North for the Bully Boys.
Pancake Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Best birthday pressie from Saints would be a win on Saturday and bye bye to negative points. that's if we don't win at Carlisle... down negative man, down! er that is on Saturday mate Yup.
Torres Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 knowing saints it would be the torres that posts on this forum that we would sign. Would prob be funnier though I'm up for that. What do I need to dress as?
Minsk Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 I'm up for that. What do I need to dress as? I think a basque, a thong and stockings is the usual attire of someone jumping out of a cake. Are you still up for it?
Minsk Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 This reminds me of a classic movie moment: Although the front view is far better!
Gordon Mockles Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Whilst checking out wiki on the great man I noticed it is next Tue 29th Sept - can we all chip in for a big cake for the fella (preferably one where a scantly clad women emerges) as a half time treat. Happy Birthday for next Tuesday Mr Liebherr=D> Great Idea! How about (if we've time, now maybe doubtful) commisioning a local cake maker to make a big St Mary's cake. Presented (if he's not partying in Switzerland) to the club, maybe via Nicola to pass on. I'm sure he'd be more than touched. I'd chip in for that if we can make it a reality. Anyone interested to get the ball rolling?
hasper57saint Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 I had one of these a while back. I called her Hot Cold and Tepid!
Doctoroncall Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 er that is on Saturday mate Sorry, had a Derren Brown moment and got stuck with the birthday day of Tuesday! (That is win on ML's big day).
StInky Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 I would suggest that his birth date is checked - wikipedia isn't always accurate.
paulwantsapint Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 Lets just go on run of say 35 consecutive wins so that ML can have a proper party in may
MrMojoRisin Posted 23 September, 2009 Posted 23 September, 2009 How about a cake that Torres jumps out of, dances like a girl for a bit, then signs a loan deal and scores us forty five goals? Not even Torres would score goals in this team. As he would get no service whatsoever.
The9 Posted 24 September, 2009 Posted 24 September, 2009 Not even Torres would score goals in this team. As he would get no service whatsoever. He could spend the whole game being caught offside because the midfielders don't release the ball quick enough, then everyone who had been hyping him up can start ranting on about how over-hyped he is... ...or just running 50 yards with the ball and scoring every time he gets it, I suppose.
Torres Posted 24 September, 2009 Posted 24 September, 2009 I think a basque, a thong and stockings is the usual attire of someone jumping out of a cake. Are you still up for it? Normal Friday night for me
ottery st mary Posted 24 September, 2009 Posted 24 September, 2009 Whilst visiting me old mum up at the Palace and sorting Lawrie and MLTs knighthoods out...I will arrange those foreign type special knighthood thingys for ML and NC...Now that would be a birthday present for our top man.
St Lej Posted 2 July, 2010 Posted 2 July, 2010 my birthday too that day. I will be 28. 10 quid and a card from everyone would be most appreciated feck off you grotty little winker!!!!!

Happy Birthday for next Tuesday Mr Liebherr=D> Am I missing something here? Wiki actually gives his date of birth as 30 March 1948 So why would he have a birthday in September ? Or have Pompey agents infiltrated Wiki?
westofshannonsaint Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 feck off you grotty little winker!!!!! why resurrect a thread from last September to say that to yourself?
dune Posted 6 July, 2010 Posted 6 July, 2010 April 20th rings a bell, I think you've got your date wrong.
