tonibell Posted 24 September, 2009 Share Posted 24 September, 2009 We are going to the game then staying in Blackpool (Premier Inn) and back Sunday. Also I backed Lambert to score first with Ladbrooke at 11/2 should be a good weekend
This Charming Man Posted 24 September, 2009 Share Posted 24 September, 2009 Just read this on a Carlisle forum written about the P*rtsmouth away fans. "I dont give out praise lightly at all but possibley the best away fans i have ever seen at BP. None stop racket for 94 mins. One of the few proper footballing towns." "They are great fans - the most loyal I've ever met, having lived in pompey for 6 years or so. Very proud of their city, it's history and their footy club." On Saturday we have to be louder and better, so Carlisle fans don't think "Ooh Pompey fans were better than them"... We, as fans, now have a point to prove! Let's not let our club down, let's get behind them 100%, get the 3 points, and prove that our support is better than Pompey's. The Skates also kicked off in the town centre, so we must make sure we throw more chairs and glasses than them. Wouldn't want Carlisle thinking Pompey are better than us. Roger Ramjet Posted 25 September, 2009 Share Posted 25 September, 2009 Think yopu'll be better off going back to Blackpool. Was there on Monday night (got out quick on Tuesday). It was closed. Seriously. Took ages to find anywhere open to eat, very few pubs were even occupied (and not many existed). I could not believe how **** the town was, looked like Skateville on a bad day LOL. Doesn't sound great, but I'm not expecting much! Return train tickets booked for Sunday so it's Carlisle whatever Hopefully, being a Saturday things will be a little more lively!! If anyone knows of any good places that will be 'open for business' let me know

I am off to blackpool in half an hour. Going out for a meal tonight, but wouldn't mind meeting up after the game in blackpool and have a few. Anyone else up for it.
