Crab Lungs Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 My grandma and your grandma sitting by the fire, my grandma says to your grandma we're gonna set this league on fire, talking about wai-go,wai-go,wai-go,waigo, Papa waigo N'daiye that was the best one That is awesome. lmfao
Crab Lungs Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 You do know that "Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO!" doesn't fit the tune, right ? This is independently of the dubious "brown" comment, which is a potential thread on its own. Er... it does! Boom boom boom let me hear you say Papa - WAIGO Like so! Anyway, lol'ing at the Iko Iko song posted.... 'my grandma and you're grandma sitting by the fire' etc lol
Saints foreva Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgYk7xcQmr0 Change Keogh for Waigo. Could be decent.
didulike1t Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 To The Tune Of The Lambet Song (which will take off just persist, by the way!) "hes Senegalese hes fast as ***** Papa, Papa" "hes Senegalese hes fast as ***** Papa, Papa" "we got the boy from Italy" "hes keen as mustard, its plain to see" "Papa Waigo" "Southamptons Number NINE" see you in Southend UTS
Rattlehead Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 What a knob I am, propper sh1te effort, which has now rightly been deleted :-) Needs a bit of work in my view.
Saint_clark Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 Why are we debating this? "Boom boom boom, let me hear you say Waigo - WAIGO!" Is simply the best one.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 8 October, 2009 Posted 8 October, 2009 Yeah I like "Boom boom boom, let me hear you say Waigo - WAIGO!"
eelpie Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 To the Harry Belafonte tune WAYYYYGO! WAAYYAYYEEEGO!! Papa come an' 'e gonna kill'em dead! WAYYYYGO! WAAYYAYYEEEGO!! Papa come an' 'e gonna kill'em dead! (and after he scores) WAYYYYGO! WAAYYAYYEEEGO!! Papa done an' we're puttin' 'em to bed!!! (copyright to getmycoat.com)
sperm_john Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 shouldnt it be, boom boom boom, let me hear you say PAPA, waiggoooooo, not boom boom boom let me hear you say waigo, waigo?
Master Bates Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 shouldnt it be, boom boom boom, let me hear you say PAPA, waiggoooooo, not boom boom boom let me hear you say waigo, waigo? The original goes "Boom boom boom let me here you say way-ooh ( way-ooh)" Therefore it should go "Boom boom boom let me here you say Wai-go (Wai-go)" as you're asking them to say 'Waigo'. Would be a bit wierd if you ask them to say 'Papa' and then everyone responds with 'Waigo'. You see? "DO DO DO DO, PAPA WAIGO, DO DO DO DO, PAPA WAIGO"
Master Bates Posted 9 October, 2009 Posted 9 October, 2009 Has anyone mentioned: He runs down the leeeeeeeeeeft, he runs down the riiiiiiiiiight, Oh Papa Waigo, he is dynamite.
saintbenny Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 it came to me in the car this morning.... To the tune of Matthew Wilder - Break my stride Nobody gonna breaker his stride Nobody gonna slow him down woo ho The Papa n' Waigo Boogie!! Repeat until we win I'll get my coat...
St.Thomas7 Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 I put this one on the end of the Lambert song thread... "Dance, Dance, when Waigo scores in red, with his left, his right or even with his head, he danced when he scored a goal in italy, and he'll dance when he scores for Southampton FC" To the tune of "Lord of the dance"...
SaintBobby Posted 12 October, 2009 Posted 12 October, 2009 I'm absolutely convinced that a couple of merry, p i s s ed up Saints fans were singing this before the Charlton game. Am pretty much guessing at some of the finer points of the lyrics: (To tune of the Hokey Cokey) He puts his right foot in He put his left foot out In out, in out, he shakes them all about He plays for Saints and he scores us goals That's what he's all about Oh oh Papa Waigo Oh oh Papa Waigo Oh oh Papa Waigo Left foot, right foot, score score score. Well, you had to be there...but I liked it.
JibMcdo Posted 15 October, 2009 Posted 15 October, 2009 00:24 in. Sorted. Get St. Marys singing that in tandem!
