Nokia N86

Anyone got one of these beauty's yet? I'm thinking of ordering in the next couple of weeks. N97 looks too bulky for me. I've got the Nokia N95 8GB at the moment which has served me well. I bought the Nokia 5800 xpress thing of a mabob which was rubbish so got sold. Feedback?

I'm due an upgrade in a couple of weeks and had decided on this one as well. I've currently got an HTC Touch Cruise which I've had for the last two years but am looking for a change now.

I just put an offer in for £245 for one on ebay. Sent the seller an email letting him know that I would be his best friend if he accepted. Can't see him turning down that offer.

It isn't bad but I'd try and see if you could get your hands on an N97 for a little bit. It isn't as big and bulky as I thought it was.

Doesnt the N97 have some speed issues? Drags like a mofo apparently? Or has there been a soft/firmware update?

I got it as an upgrade and sold it to my mate. It doesn't have any speed issues as far as I'm concerned. I didn't like it but it's won me over now.

I've got an N86, best phone I've ever had.

 

'tis a combination of the best bits from the N85 and the N96 plus a better camera.

 

I've had it for a while now and the screen still hasn't been scratched... tempered glass seems to work. Camera is excellent to the point that my digital camera has just collected dust since, and the battery life just seems to go on and on. And I still haven't heard Saints lose while listening to them on Solent on its radio yet either

 

Safe to say I'm happy with it

You've always seemed very positive on your comments about Nokias but you don't seem too sure now! Which is better? N86 or N97?

I've been thinking about an N86 for a while as a natural successor to my elderly N95 but also rapidly being won over by the HTC Hero which has the best-working touchscreen I've come across so far. In the end it'll probably come down to the camera which is miles better on the Nokia; shame it's just a bit of a boring phone (albeit a good one)

any ideas please?

Buy an N97

 

Is this connected to 3g or wifi? Have you tried a different web browser? On the N95 8GB I think you go to view objects, then pictures, then it opens the picture in the gallery and you can save it.

Agreed. I've had a go with the N97 and really wanted to like it; a year or 18 months ago it would have been a great phone but now it's just underwhelming compared with what else is out there. It's not a bad phone, just a bit disappointing compared with what it could have been

Yes you do on a N95, but the question is about the N86. I have tried using wifi and vodafone browser, still can't get it to save internet pictures.

Does anyone have any ideas?
