Jonnyboy Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Why does AP keep calling Kelvin as Calvin???
Tac-tics Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 I like what Im hearing, we very nearly lost Lallana to a Premier League club, AP sat down and said to him, are yougoing to sit in the reserves and get loaned out for two years?or enjoy a league title or a promotion this stage of your career. Talks sense.
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Think they all coming across very well, some really good questions being asked. Interesting that Nicola say's statistically we are the 15th biggest club in England. Think what Pardew say's about people like Lallana and Davis should be wanting to achieve things not sit on the bench at a club higher up etc.. is totally spot on. And he's right. So many have left us to warm benches (at best) elsewhere.
krissyboy31 Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Why does AP keep calling Kelvin as Calvin??? Think it's his Lundun accent!!
St Marco Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Indeed I think anyone who is on the negative side of things, moaning side of things should listen to it. It might make you realise just where we were a month or so ago.
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 some bloke (O'Callaghan, Chairman) from SISA wasn't listening at all, and wants to know Cortese didn't come in 3 months prior! (daft question) And he wants the beer prices cut to £3 a pint!
Tractor_Saint Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Thought it was a stupid question but - Wow - they were in discussions on 22nd May to buy the club - wow.
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Sounds like Fry ****ed about. They had the 500k ready to go in late may. All bank transfers agreed - but Fry called them and said that he'd given ''Pinaccle'' the exclusivity.
SaintDonkey Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 On May 22nd at 3pm Liebherr made a firm offer to buy the club. Damn that Pinnacle bid!
gaz Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Liebherr lost 3 weeks because of the Pinnacle fiasco.
red&white56 Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 ML turned up on May 27th and ready to go into exclusivity, but just lost out - then had to wait. Not sounding too complimentary about the adminstrators.........
Thedelldays Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Sounds like Fry ****ed about. They had the 500k ready to go in late may. All bank transfers agreed - but Fry called them and said that he'd given ''Pinaccle'' the exclusivity. to be fair..after MLT and the talk about Keegan and WGS...I dont think (at that time) markus and co would have been too popular... not that it matter too much now
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Nicola said that it didn't seem like the administrators wanted them they kept pushing the swiss away and putting obstacles in the way.
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 ooh, getting controversial now!!!
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Is it debt free? ''It's one of the few English clubs that is currently completely debt free''
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 We are one of the few DEBT-FREE! But he isn't overly focused on the beer prices just yet.
Under Weststand Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Sounds like we could have been sorted out by mid June until Fry Gave exclusivity to Pinnacle. NC saying beer prices not top of his prioritys know. NC now saying we are debt free.
red&white56 Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 NC confirms that we are a debt free club !
krissyboy31 Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 They nearly walked away because "they weren't wanted". Thank god they didn't!!
dune Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Cortese basically calls Mark Fry an incompetent dickhead. (obviously not the words he used ). Also Tony Lynams consortium stopped us having a pre season under Marcus Liebherr and almost stopped the deal happening because of their time wasting.
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 But he isn't overly focused on the beer prices just yet. Nicola out!
Thedelldays Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 i ****ing loved that....debt free apparently (according to the pompey fans-online) we are far from debt free..... I dont know who to believe here..:smt031
Under Weststand Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Director of football question. Asked to AP he passes to NC, Not a priority but something they will consider in the future.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 we are lucky that the swiss stuck around after that !!!!!!
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 apparently (according to the pompey fans-online) we are far from debt free..... I dont know who to believe here..:smt031 ML bought us with his own money, so that counts, surely.
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Pard's doesn't think that a DOF would be a bad thing at the club. He understands the logic of one, and he'd be prepared to work with one. Doesn't sound like it's a complete priority for NC at the mo though.
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 under the radar??? Pulis!!!!????? That very name came to my mind too. Along with Ali Dia ... but I'm sure AP didn't know him.
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Do we have the option to buy trotman? He cannot give us a striaght answer...would be unfair on PNE, does sound that Pards is keen.
St Marco Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Talking about Trotman, friendly ripping him saying he has 10 and 2 feet so they are working on his passing etc, great to hear stories like that.
gaz Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Gradual building, not free-spending coming up in January.
Tractor_Saint Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 dont know who to believe here..:smt031 Hmmm - tricky one, do you believe someone who puts their money where their mouth is or do you believe a set of green-eyed supporters. Bugger, was trying to think of a question for them today and it's just sprung into my mind: "Why did you choose Southampton, a division one club, when there was the opportunity to buy a premiership club just down the road for probably less cash?" Damn
StuRomseySaint Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Has anyone asked if StuRomseySaint can have the job he told them to stick last season yet? :-(
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 How did we get Papa? Papa was introduced to Pards through Nicola Cortese and an Agent. Pard's hasn't been aware of him - but he was checked out via sources and connections and all feedback was positive and stated that the player was above (Ability wise) the level we're at.
gaz Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 (edited) Papa came through an agent, not scouted but checked out with sources and learnt that he was available. Last minute deal, blows hot and cold so far but finding his feet in this division. And pronounced Poppa Waygo. Edited 21 September, 2009 by gaz
Tractor_Saint Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Someone has been smoking. Oops - care to take that back ?
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Looking seriously at bid for world cup 2018 host city. in hands of City council at the moment. We've made the contact and wheels have been put in motion.
the saint in winchester Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 Bloke at the back giving a speech!! Do you have a question, mate?????????????????
S-Clarke Posted 21 September, 2009 Posted 21 September, 2009 lol @ this bloke ''big club mentality'' ''yeovil were looking on in ore'' ''buy us the team and we'll pack the stadium'' weird speech.
