The players seem to be responding to it as well. I don't think anyone can deny that (so far in the last game or two) it seems to have made a big improvement...

It was Harding praising him, there was no quote from Downes at all. A lot of Reading fans have said he was a massive part of their dominance in 05/06 as well.

Winchester_Saint Posted 18 September, 2009 Posted 18 September, 2009 It's awesome that Wally is with us and after reading that article it looks as though he's already made a huge impact. Hopefully people like him will stay at the club for many years as they are key to creating a strong backbone throughout the side. Hoping for a clean sheet tomorrow and a nice win to kickstart a good run of results!
red&white56 Posted 18 September, 2009 Posted 18 September, 2009 I've always been confused that we've haven't seemed to focus more on defense over te past few seasons. A solid back line allows midfield and the forwards to play with more confidence and hopefully score more goals.
