Bloody well put tbh Glen.

No commitment, no desire and no leadership on the pitch. Completely unacceptable from a Premiership standard side and like I said in the match thread - if they don't sort it we're going to be sitting in the Championship next season wondering what the hell happened

A good summary of the game and our current predicament Glen - as usual.

We hear a lot of self-praise from within the club about the Saints way of doing things, be it from having their own mattresses during overnight stays in hotels, being collected by the team coach from the local airport, dietary gurus, training gurus and the highly secretive Black Box. Well, I reckon a good night in a Budget Hotel, sitting on a bus all the way up and back and less pampering of their egos might waken them up to the task ahead - that of turning things around, playing with commitment and heart and ultimately survival in this division. As for the F***ing Black Box, the plane has well and truly crashed and some bugger needs to start sifting through the data to find the reasons why!!!

Looks like my headline took a nosedive.

PS. I accidentally stood on one of those inflated clappers so the Nipper could only use one!

Mrs JBS grabbed a couple of packets of those to use at home (oi less of that smut) to get our lazy 20 something daughters out of bed after being told for the umpteenth time to GET UP!!!

Just reading the Arsenal one...."usual modus operandii with Saints players which is to hide in the trees at Staplewood watching the youth team with a camera in one hand" - I was told by a coach who worked with Arsenal Youth for 10 years that he did actually sneak into Staplewood to watch Theo for them at the time!!

I wonder if Mane and his agent were sitting in some M Way Services working out the next 'Cash Cow' opportunity? As far as Wanyama is concerned the man has to be a complete idiot to act in this way if he wants a move. I concur Glen that players these days only move for the money.Have our recent deserters improved their game? No! Only their wage packets. Thankyou for yet another warts and all commentary. Let's see if RK has learned any lessons from the past disasters.

I'm not the only one who has been blocked by Messrs Crook and Allen then...? :)

Not read your blog for a month or so, so was glad to start with the Arsenal match and then had to re-live the pain of the next two. Great insight as always and a good laugh. Don't ever change!

the Mane, we knew what we were getting

He was worse for Salzburg in forcing his move to us.

at least he has not effectively gone on strike, like he did there

Thanks. Spot on, as always.

Every so often I forget that 99% of pro footballers are tossers. You have to remind yourself constantly to save getting depressed about everything....

No, I think the membership of that particular club is quite high.

Too old to change.... I was on holiday over Xmas so had to catch up. Being late is no problem as long as I get my move to Man United and they pay me £150k a week

Yet....

Good read

I honestly believe we will have done well this season by staying up

you just cant sell as many as we have in 12 months and stay consistent

I would say it's making sure the replacements are suitable so perhaps the effort or funds weren't there in the first place.

The other aspect that concerns me is the mental frailty of the players. Totally different to last season. No point playing them if they are not up to it but would hope the club has someone looking after players mental health.
