One of the greatest bands of my lifetime, I'd absolutely love to see them play live again.

At the mo though, they're only playing a one-off gig in nu yoik.

If they do a proper tour THEN I WILL PHUKING BE THERE!!!!!! :smt036

My mate emailed me about this earlier. I was lucky enough to see Pavement on five seperate occassions and not once was I disappointed. The London Astoria NME Awards Tour show they did with Mogwai, Gorkys Zygotic Mynci and Broadcast was one of the best shows i have been to. Wouldn't suprise me if they did something like All Tomorrows Parties, perhaps as curators? I see Mark Ibold is now a permanent member of Sonic Youth, too. Not sure how that would affect long term pavement plans...

Am going to listen to some Wowee Zowee when I get in tonight.

The NME show sounds pretty amazing. Due to bad luck and a degree of laziness on my part, I only saw them once, but they were suitably unforgettable. I wasn't convinced by Steve Malkmus's solo stuff until i saw him live at green man last year, and yes i was hoping he'd play a few tracks off crooked rain but had big up respek for him not playing any pavement tunes at all. and then i think i found peace within myself that maybe pavement won't tour again. and now this!!!!

Yeah, i'm sure ATP are on the phone to them as we speak/i type. And if they do a whole album live thing, i'm praying for crooked rain, although wowee zowee if more likely as that's their fave pavement album.

dammit, i'd pay good money to see them play kerplunk.

All Tommorows Parties confirmed for May 2010.

Tickets and ferry look too pricey for me. I'll have to wait to see if they come to France.

I know what you mean. If this is going to be their only UK reunion gig then trapesing up North and spending hundreds of pounds would ultimately be worth it. But I don't fancy doing that if there going to play some shows or festivals nearer to home and less pricey. There's a facebook petition going around to convince the festival hall to give them an eight night residency but the venue doesn't think they're popular enough.

Arrrggghhh!!!!!

What shall I do!!!!!

On Friday, for the first time, Saints won on the same day that I listened to Pavement.

This was an on going superstition, evet since Adam and Joe played Shady Lane on the morning of a home defeat to QPR (perhaps it was to blame for Kelvin's moment of madness in that game).

I remember when Peel introduced a new Pavement song, which he initally took to be called 'Rattled By Ian Rush'.

Can't remember whether Saints won that day or not.

Sorry.

I just wanted to help.

Sorry.

Got my tickets for the gig in Paris. Bit pricey (40 euros), but I never thought I'd get the chance to see them.

Must dash ..... the trolls in the glen are consorting again

Saw Pavement last night at Brixton and they were brilliant, the majority of the set was taken from their first three albums which suited everyone down to the ground. From the moment they started with cut your hair till their final encore of stop breathing the crowd went nuts, and the band were clearly enjoying themselves. So many highlights - stereo, we dance, father to a sister of thought, gold soundz, two states, shoot the singer.

If anyone wants to see them tonight or thursday then go for it, last night there were loads of tickets being sold outside the venue for not much money at all.
