But if you want it just to look like the cooliest manz onz the streetz then yar! buyz itz!! to be honest, i just want a new phone, and the iphone looks pretty nice, but is only on o2 (i have orange contract, and detest o2) so for £50 it is a pretty good option. It plays music and videos (i think) so does all the things a normal phone does, but also looks great. it's a no brainer IMO
saint_stevo Posted 13 September, 2009 Posted 13 September, 2009 AVOID AVOID AVOID Touchscreen is awful, a mate bought one thinking the same as you Get a Nokia 5800, £130
SO16_Saint Posted 13 September, 2009 Author Posted 13 September, 2009 gone off Nokias lately. they're not that advanced. easy to use, but nothing special
saint_stevo Posted 13 September, 2009 Posted 13 September, 2009 gone off Nokias lately. they're not that advanced. easy to use, but nothing special That is what i thought, til i got the 5800, love it. And not sure you can say its not special when you were considering a fisher price Hifone
SO16_Saint Posted 13 September, 2009 Author Posted 13 September, 2009 i meant nokias in general not being anything special - that one looks pretty nice tbf. the main reason im looking at that one, is because im in a contract for another yr and have got a Sony Ericsson thing (really, really s h i t) so wanted to spend circa £50 for a new phone. I got upgrade earlier in the year for my missus and dont want to spend a fortune or wait a year!
SO16_Saint Posted 13 September, 2009 Author Posted 13 September, 2009 You'd be stupid to buy that piece of ****. care to elaborate?

I really like the phone, I would advise people to get one.
saint_stevo Posted 13 September, 2009 Posted 13 September, 2009 I LOVE my iphone - best mobile I've ever had. Agreed. But would you love a cheap rip off version with an unresponsive interface and dodgy touchscreen?
SO16_Saint Posted 13 September, 2009 Author Posted 13 September, 2009 Agreed. But would you love a cheap rip off version with an unresponsive interface and dodgy touchscreen? it'll do a turn for a year or so until i can upgrade properly...?

SO16_Saint Posted 13 September, 2009 Author Posted 13 September, 2009 i emailed previous buyers, and got this feedback: Hi yes it is the same as the iphone 3gs, but it is not made by apple, it is a good phone i didn't have to pay any customs charges and the only thing is that it doesnt have wifi on it but you can access the internet through your service provider, Hi yes it is a really good phone they give you a extera battery and yes you can watch movies and play music.
hamster Posted 13 September, 2009 Posted 13 September, 2009 £50. You can't much for £50 nowadays, I'd risk it personally if I were a poser, but I ain't so i won't. If you do please let us know how you get on cos mrs hamster likes iphones, I could get her an iphoney. see what i did there? clevr eh?
mattbrennan Posted 13 September, 2009 Posted 13 September, 2009 My mate had one and it worked pretty well to be honest. As long as your not expecting it to be as user friendly as the real thing then you should be fine.
hamster Posted 13 September, 2009 Posted 13 September, 2009 Can you put #apps'on them? And would my TomTom sat nav work on it it's the 'one from my broken htc touch hone that connected via bluetooth to the little box thingy? I'm curious now.

Can't see how you could put Apps on, sweetie, cos you have to buy them from the Apps store (even when they're free) and you have to have an account to 'buy'.

And would my TomTom sat nav work on it it's the 'one from my broken htc touch hone that connected via bluetooth to the little box thingy? I'm curious now. no, you cant put apps on the iphoney and not sure about the satnav - i'll ask and let you know. I think i will go for it tbh. I've asked 5 people who have actually bought the phone, and they have all said that it works fine, and is well worth buying.
