And I don't just mean pop crap that got under your skin for the 5 minutes it was in the charts.

Techno techno techno.

Tainted Love - Soft Cell

Moving on Up - M People

Wake me up before you go go - Wham

Only way is up - Yazz

Wonderwall - Oasis

Love Shack - B52's

All of the above make me sick!

Abba - Dancing Queen. Brings to mind images of drunken middle-aged women dancing round their handbags in the Chicago Rock Cafe. Truly terrible song that makes me want to put my foot through the radio whenever it comes on.

Bloody hell, what station do you listen to?

Radio 2 mostly. They do play a lot of sh1t music but mostly it's sh1t in a non-offensive, easy-listening kind of way. Unless of course they play Abba (which they occasionally do) which I find to be an insult to my ears.

Most Metallica songs. Notably St Anger and Frantic.

Razorlight, the one that has the line "I met a girl, she asked me my name, I told her what it was..."

Wheatus -- Teenage Dirtbag

Any Scouting for Girls

It might have lost its charm somewhat over the years but it's still a belter.

You have named two Metallica songs off their worst album album?

How could anyone not like anything before that?

I quite like that Wheatus track if I'm honest.

Scouting for girls though are pretty poor. I've seen them live and they can play a bit, but the songwriting is very basic, the whole act is a bit childish. The lead singer over-eggs it for me Jim Carey style.

You should've over-egged him back.

Rollin' remains the worst, but an honourable mention now goes to Proud by Heather Small. What a load of ****y ******** that song is.

Why should I bother putting a lot of effort on an internet forum ;)

It is actually the worst song and lyrics ever.

I don't know, it may be recent but I reckon it'll have some staying power as one of my most hated.

Nickleback - Rockstar.

Good call.

"I wanna be a rockstar." Really? Try writing a decent song and not trying so hard to sound like Nirvana then ffs.

Nirvana? I'm a huge fan of Cobain's work but even I haven't made that association. They sound nothing like them and don't appear to be making the effort to.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, especially on a music topic, but Ponty....

I agree.
