SNSUN Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 **** it. Saints spoil the Valley party. Granted, we shouldn't expect miracles from the newbies, but Smurf will be out to impress. Bloody great game - 3-6 Saints.
Painswick Saint Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Charlton 2 - Saints 1 Hope I'm proved wrong ,though, and Saints get their first league win of the season
thorpie the sinner Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 I have changed my opinion on this one!! Saints win, Charltons first loss, springboard to a great season for us! 1-3
sfcmick Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Got to be a win for Saints, cannot beat Colchester with 10 men BUT top of the table no worries... 2 nil to saints and the start of a good run. COYR
benjii Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Probably about 4-nil to us at least I would have thought.
Redbul Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 I having a funny feeling this is going to be the truning point in the season for us. We are going to win this, not by a massive margin, maybe 2-1, but we're going to win it, get that winning feeling going through the team and next thing you know Yeovil be picking the ball out of their net about 6 times next week.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Charlton to win quite easily I'm afraid. ( I hope Im wrong though)
Minsk Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 By the form book we should lose; typical Saints (going against this) we could win; so we will probably draw. 1-1 for me.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 By the form book we should lose; typical Saints (going against this) we could win; so we will probably draw. 1-1 for me. To be fair the form book says: P 6 D 4 L 2 so you are probably right.
voteforpedro Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Charlton 2-3 Saints Feeling positive and nice to see others are positive too, looking forward to the game a lot more as it looks like a fair few going now.
Capel Saint Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 2-1 to Saints if Papa plays and fulfills his potential. He is an unknown quantity at the moment so the opposition have not been able to send their scouts out which may give him an edge. Recovery starts here.
Mr X Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 by own admission i'm often too negative on the team so I'm gonna say we miraculously pull of a 2-2 draw
imported_slough_saint Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Charlton 0-19 Southampton Are you insame! There is no way Saints will keep a clean sheet!
sotonswan Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 3 - 0 Charlton, although I shall not be including this game in any accumulator I do tomorrow.
brett24 Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 Going for a Saints win! 3-1. Seen we are 5/1 to win, got to be worth a punt.
Mark`` Posted 11 September, 2009 Posted 11 September, 2009 We gonna smash the Cu*ts 0-3 got the feeling we are just gonna play um off the park.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Tricky one - should be Charlton on every form line going, but you never know with Saints and we are definitely bubbling under atm. However, this is Saints after all, so to predict a win would be freaking mental. If I had to take a stab - Charlton to win a tight one with us being (1) unlucky (2) done by the ref or (3) conceding a late one. Probably all three - a 96th minute dodgy penalty...in the last of 3 minutes of stoppage time.
saintstr1 Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 My Initial thoughts all week were that we could get a Draw , But for some reason this morning I think we might just edge it 1-2. Hope Jaidi & Papa live up to all the hype.
SaintRobbie Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 I think we'll raise our game and Pards has alot to prove. I'm going 1-2 Saints victory.
dubai_phil Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 In my noble mission to finish bottom of the prediction league, have this one down as the start of the turning of the corner with a 2-1 Saints win. Seeing as I forecast a win and it is being shown on telly somewhere in the world I think we're doomed. Looks like our first win of the season will follow my historical trend and will have to wait until I get back for the Brizzle game. Can't get back any earlier gosh darn it as have to continue my globe trotting tour for work this time
um pahars Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 A 1-1 draw with a much better performance (then again I can actually see us pulling off a win here). Fingers crossed
Cabrone Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 My sneaking suspicion is that this will be a Reading (a) type of performance and a Jaidi inspired defence will shut out Charlton. 1-0 to Saints (Lambert).
lordswoodsaints Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Charlton 3 saints 0 Pardew to get sent to the stands after a dodgy penalty decision against us. I am derren brown.
St Marco Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 if you go to their website http://www.cafc.co.uk/ Look at the picture they have before you go to the website proper The two managers with flames behind them..... They are trying to make it looklike a boxing match or something. Sure Jaidi will be happy about that! edit here it is
pele Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Is saga in squad as he is not listed on official site?
Thedelldays Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Charlton 3 saints 0 Pardew to get sent to the stands after a dodgy penalty decision against us. I am derren brown. I agree we will lose....then our fans will say "just one win and we will go one and win loads"..
KK the 2nd Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 I also share this illogical feeling that we are going to get a result today, even had a bet, 5/1 Saints to win with bet365.
St.Jeweller Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 just seen were 18/1 to win 2-1 @ Bet Fred......Get on it!
Alain Perrin Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 With Papa on the pitch...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS6T8FqJ0WM
Professor Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Don't think the team is ready yet to win against Charlton and with home advantage to them as well, a defeat looks most likely. When Jaidi is fully fit and settled in the side, when Waigo has had a chance to adjust to football here and when Holmes is match fit, things will be different but at the moment its still mainly the same squad that haven't won a game. My prediction is defeat today, with our first win next week against Yeovil.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 (edited) £10 on waigo to score anytime today me thinks! Think we'll lose 3-1 though, after going 1-0 up, we'll fall apart Paddy Power are offering 33/1 for a 2-0 win for Saints, that is certainly worth £10!! Edited 12 September, 2009 by Thorpe-le-Saint
Norm Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Prediction: Unrealistic expectations on a Saturday morning...still. Jardi disappoints as does Papa Waigo. We all drown ourselves. Have you ever thought about seeking help for your 'problem'? It helped me, I now walk around with a smile and see nothing but rose colours:)
Nexstar Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Charlton 0 Saints 2 Lambert and Papa scoring, but also hitting the post twice and the ball seemingly crossing the line but not given. Meaning it should have been 5-0 to Saints. (i'm ITK)
Plumstead_Saint Posted 12 September, 2009 Posted 12 September, 2009 Charlton 0 Saints 2 Lambert and Papa scoring, but also hitting the post twice and the ball seemingly crossing the line but not given. Meaning it should have been 5-0 to Saints. (i'm ITK) What he said
