Clapham Saint Posted 11 September, 2009 Share Posted 11 September, 2009 Davis Thomas Jaidi Trotman Harding Waigo Scheiderlin Hammond Mills Lallana Lambert Subs: Bart Perry James Mellis Paterson Saganowski Holmes As above except I would swap Lallana and Waigo. If Waigo is quick (as we are all expecting) having his pace upfront will mean that he can either get in behind, or the defenders will not be able to play as high a line as most teams have been plaing against us, resulting in a bit more room for the midfield to be creative. Professor Posted 11 September, 2009 Share Posted 11 September, 2009 Pardew's comments on the OS seem to play down the prospect of Jaidi and Waigo being in the team against Charlton. My guess is that Waigo might be on the bench so he could get a run out depending on how the game is going, but maybe Jaidi is not yet fit enough? RonManager Posted 11 September, 2009 Share Posted 11 September, 2009 Anyone looking for a different way to get there, I've just researched the Thames River Ferry timings. There is a half hour service from the Embankment to either the O2 centre or the Woolwich Arsenal Pier, both destinations leaving you with about a 2 mile walk to the ground. I shall be aboard the 1228 from the Embankment which gets me to the O2 arena pier at 1318, plenty of time to amble down to the ground. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/modalpages/2648.aspx
um pahars Posted 11 September, 2009 Share Posted 11 September, 2009 Really suprised Gillett hasn't been mentioned once in this thread, I doubt Gillett will be playing seeing as he was out on the razzle down Oxford Street an hour or so ago. He only came up to my waist even though I was sat down.

SNSUN Posted 12 September, 2009 Share Posted 12 September, 2009 Papa must be a good player, everyone's got him in the team yet no one has seen him play (except on You Tube) #-o You don't get to play for a top team in Italy unless you're gifted! (Umm, except Pericard, but we'll just blame his glut of crapness on Pompey.)

um pahars Posted 12 September, 2009 Share Posted 12 September, 2009 No Saganowski on OS squad? Anything to do with being away on international duty??? maybe even being lined up for a loan out??? Injured??? Or just moping about??? Have to say that given Paterson's lacklustre performance last time out I would have Saga would at least be in the squad (and arguably starting with Papa coming off the bench). Saint Fan CaM Posted 12 September, 2009 Share Posted 12 September, 2009 AP is not messing about then - no Saga or Wotton in todays squad. Wotton is a no-brainer (ha!) but Saga is a bit of a shocker - the guy clearly doesn't want to be here. for Saga, I think it's possibly down to the international traveling he's had - probably only got back friday. waste of time too - as he didn't even feature on the bench for polands two games. The travelling might be a reason for leaving him on the bench but since he didn't even play I'm surprised he's not even in the squad. That said he would not have been in my starting eleven. I've been saying for a while this is our strongest formation. Would have waigo coming on for lallana after an hour, Jaidi and Holmes coming on for last 20/15 in their respective positions. Saint_Ash Posted 12 September, 2009 Share Posted 12 September, 2009 I wouldn't throw 2 players short of match fitness and sharpness straight into the starting line up the first weekend they have clearance. Good line up in my opinion.

Matthew Le God Posted 12 September, 2009 Share Posted 12 September, 2009 I think it'll be a disappointing **** line up again. Going to take time for pardew to work out that it doesn't work it seems. Davis Thomas Perry Trotman Harding James Wotton Hammond Lallana Paterson Lambert which would be ****. Need schneiderlin, mills and waigo in as we're out of options. and of course, for the millionth time, lallana isn't a winger! Wotton isn't in the matchday squad. He is along way from the starting 11 now. Likely to be playing reserve games until we can sell/release him.
