S-Clarke Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 There is no way a conference club would turn down £700K for one of their players. Pure madness. Pards did say in one of his interviews after lambert arrived. (something like this -) ''we could have signed a young striker for a similar kind of fee, but we felt this was the better option''
OldNick Posted 7 September, 2009 Author Posted 7 September, 2009 I notice Salmon Rushdie has a new version of a book out the Saintanic Verses.
benjii Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Sorry. I suppose there's a chance he would flounder at this level anyway?
Gingeletiss Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 750.000 squid.............that's a lot....IMO, or is this all a red herring!!!
OldNick Posted 7 September, 2009 Author Posted 7 September, 2009 Stop it. Stop it. Stop it.Dont get crabby about it
Torres Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 how much did we give kings lynn for mark paul? I remember it was a then record fee for them back in 98 £75k, 3 buttons and a ball of string.
Armitage Shanks Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 This is not the Plaice for this type of humour. Bass-tards all of you.

Rebel Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 I think if Saga had left in the Window we would have brought in Craddock and Gradel I don't think the fee would be a problem but the limit on the wage bill might be - it could mean we have to get rid of Saga before we bring another striker I half expect Saga to leave this week in a swap deal with Leicester with Gradel on loan to us and then Craddock coming in on loan from Luton

ecuk268 Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 I heard that he still has an 80's haircut - a sort of mullet.
Thedelldays Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 I think you can? kind of like a gentlemans agreement between the clubs. Not sure if its changed, but Wolves did this sort of deal for Kightly a few years back. 3 month loan with an option to buy in jan iirc. yep...i remember when buzacky went on loand from plymouth to QPR...who then paid plymouth a transfer fee in the january..
SNSUN Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 http://www.ex-canaries.co.uk/players/paul.htm "an untapped Michael Owen because of the way he finishes and the fact that he's very quick and very direct. " btw that's an amazing site, the guy must have incredible dedication to Norwich to have an up to date biography of a player who only ever had a trial at the canaries! http://www.ex-canaries.co.uk/players/fotheringham.htm Dedication but lack of proof reading. Fotheringham, whom we had on trial before he signed for the Canaries, ends up being called Fotherington in this article....

" btw that's an amazing site, the guy must have incredible dedication to Norwich to have an up to date biography of a player who only ever had a trial at the canaries! I was thinking that too. The level of detail is way beyond! I wish we could a have a resource like that!
Wildgoose Posted 8 September, 2009 Posted 8 September, 2009 Yes please to the Leicester deal - a 30 year old player (a good one though) who wants away in return for a winger that tore up L1 last season and an exciting young striker. Agreed. We only want players who will give their heart and .....Sole :-)....to the cause!
