derry Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 ...Step forward number 17 Matthew Paterson Truely, truely shocking. Has very very limited ability, and just strolls around. All I can say is thank god we'll have Saga and Papa available for saturday. I rate him lower than Paul Wotton becuase what Wotton lacks in skill, he makes up in effort Maybe you should try a different sport to be a critic as you clearly know nothing about this one. callysaint76 Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 Yeah i always said Beatts was shi*te! I call it as i see it and Paterson and Thomson at the moment are nowhere near good enough. I like seeing the young players come through, but feel mis-management has caused us to lose several good higher end championship players, while we have kept onto the lesser talented ones from our academy. Best, DMG and Dexter were miles ahead of where Paterson is at his age, and the first 2 recieved a sh*t load of criticism at games and on here (and not from me). ulstersaint Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 I think it is impossible to make a comment about Waigo but Lambert, Murty, Harding, Hammond, Trotman, Jaidi, are they better than Surman John Rasiak Saejis McGoldrick Skacel BWP only time will tell But last season Surman, Saejis, McGoldrick, Skacel and BWP played a good number of games and helped get us relegated. greg_hill Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 Has it occured to people like the OP that perhaps - with this forum being very busy and the player in question being young - Mr Paterson will get to read this thread? Try to keep criticism in proportion. Yes you have your right to free speech and so on but do think before you post. In any case, I seem to recall a certain Kenwyne Jones getting far more stick early on in his Saints career, myself being one of the guilty parties. teamsaint Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 it might help if someone posted a team selected from all the plyares who were "rubbish" at Saints, but who thrive elsewhere: Davenport, Delap, Blackstock, Fuller, etc etc. Paterson will make into a very decent player, given any kind of decent coaching etc.
team-saint Posted 7 September, 2009 Share Posted 7 September, 2009 Lol... Ali Dia??? Paterson is a bit more of an athlete than a footballer in my opinion at the moment, with an improved first touch, the confidence to keep hold of the ball and a bit more composure in front of goal he could turn into a very good player.
