Had a test from a mate at the game - said absolutely no width yet again and we will struggle to break them down and get service to Lambert. Expect the same comments as weve seen all season from those that went

You have to wonder if Pardew watches the same game as the rest of us. Charlton with 2 wingers have won 6/6

Maybe we can sneak the odd goal

Maybe Mills and & Holmes can't play a full match so he was forced to play Lallana leftwing again but why he can't play a proper wide player on the right I don't know.

Do we have a decent wide right player though?

Lallana? :D

To answer your question, not really perhaps. We have Thomson but I'm not sure he's good enough. Otherwise James could fill in that role but perhaps he is of more use in the center.

Yes, exactly. I'd be happy enough with Lallana wide right but Thomson has been shocking this season. James would be OK on the right but don't expect him to skin the fullback and get to the bye line - he's solid enough though.

Incidentally we will win today - it's the first home league game i've missed so far.

Exactly, you don't have to nutmeg the fullback and get to the byline every time. Just play wide, provide an out ball, open up the pitch and get a few early crosses in

I have a nasty feeling we'll be going down to 10 men sometime soon with Mellis being the culprit...

They've beaten us to it.

Izzet off for going the back of Lallana, after Adam had already lost the the ball!!

two footed. Looked nasty from here. Colchester have gone silly but it looks like the ref will book any saints player who does anything silly...

If I was AP I would be tempted to replace Mellis with Mills at half time.

Me too though Thomas just fouled Lisbie but wasn't booked. Maybe we have a "homer !"

Colchester hit the bar from a quick break.

Now, on any other day that would of gone in. So maybe today is our lucky day?

And we go close at the other end.

I am really looking forward to the second half!
