MongoNeil Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 I just played Fifa 09 with Saints against Colchester. Quite an exciting game, 2-0 up at half time and cruising and then got Perry & James sent off in second half. Ended up 3-2 down when BWP (it's an old game) got fouled in the box, up steps Skacel to convert the pen. So an eventful 3-3, what are the chances of that happening for real? Incidentaly, Hammond got 2 of the Colchester goals.
Thedelldays Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 see charlton are cruising to 6 wins out of 6...

I think you can get long odds for that.

Thedelldays Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 charlton are doing what we are not....two very wide players and from the middle of the park getting it wide as soon as possible....you can see how brentford are struggling when they are stretched like that... hopefully with Mills back we can at least have some width

Saint Garrett Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Need a win today. Come on you saints!
Saint_Si Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 COME ON YOU SAINTS!! I have a good feeling bout today.
Um Bongo Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Davis Thomas Perry Trotman Harding Mellis James Hammond Lallana Paterson Lambert Subs: Bart Schiniderlin Wotton Thomson Gobern Mills Lancashire
Ewell Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 see charlton are cruising to 6 wins out of 6... They looked very good. I am tempted to get a ticket for next week but I cannot see us taking more than a point from that match now. Decisions, decisions! It will probably be a draw today but given next week’s opponents we just have to win. Confidence is everything in football and to take 3 points will set us up for our visit to the Valley next week. Come on you Saints!
oggiee Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Very optimistic for todays game, even though we are without Saga, Murty, Jaidi, Papa, and 2 players not match fit in Mills and Holmes, 6 very good players there.
VectisSaint Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Is that the team? V narrow again and will struggle to break teams down. Shame. We're so close to putting a good team out, but you see that and it feels so far again. Come on Mills, sort your fitness out ffs. Only hope is that Holmes and Mills coming back, combined with Papa signing, might give the likes of Lallana a kick up the arse. Mills on the bench, no room for Gillett though.
Red Alert Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Disappointed to see that line up to be honest. Would have thought Pato would be on the bench and play Lallana behind Lambert with Mills on the left. Would give us more width, and I think AL would play well in that role. Oh well Pardew is paid to make these decisions not me. COYR
sotonjoe Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 crap team ... we will lose this match I fear.
VectisSaint Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 crap team ... we will lose this match I fear. What would you have changed? Thats just about the best team we have. The only change I would make would be Mills for Lallana, but given Mills is returning from injury I think AP is sensible not to start him. Would have preferred to see Gillett on the bench.
The Majestic Channon Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Is papa not playing? The italian F.A. didn't give us clearance to play him in time.
