They're at Duxford on Saturday, closing the afternoon. One was marking the flight out at about 3pm.

Wondered why there was only one , there's usually more do the practice run.

If you're interested in WW2 aircraft, Duxford is a must.

I enjoy walking the dog listening to and watching the Spits and other aircraft doing their test flights.

I saw Red Arrow crash at Sidmouth many years ago. Fortunately, as my ex girlfriend's sister excitedly told her friend on the 'phone "The pilot managed to ejaculate safely...."

This was (obviously) more exciting than the display but all credit to the pilot. He knew something was wrong (as did we on the ground) 'cos of a huge plume of flame gushing out of the jet exhaust. He turned the plane around, pointed it out to sea and bailed out. We watched him float down and then watched as the plane hit the water a few miles out.
