RedAndWhite91 Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 I clicked on this thread half-expecting it to be P*mpey luring him out of retirement...

RedAndWhite91 Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 Now that would have been funny. It honestly would not have surprised me though, that's the funny thing!
Thedelldays Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 I quite like him....from the south, wears his heart on his sleeve...respect also for the way he celebrated in front of the northam when he scored for millwall in 03 in the FA cup.. I saw him commentating at SMS about 2 years ago and he was getting loads of stick from the fans and he was happy to dish it out back (all in good fun)... for a skate ****....I like think he is alright
cambsaint Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 My son and I used to watch him at Cambridge Utd in their glory days when he partnered Dion Dublin. John Beck the manager took the credit, but it was really due to a squad that matured and were much better than the opposition. Claridge was always in trouble for not having his socks up, and being too much of an individual. I think they hated each other. Cambsaint
chocco boxo Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 His book is a good read but how the hell did he manage to right won ;-)
Baj Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 His book is a good read but how the hell did he manage to right won ;-) I can't, some jokes are just too easy...
Kaiser Soze Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 Anyone see him **** himself? Yeah when a group of our lads chased him round the Northern estate before a game a year or two ago. I hate the ugly mug.
Hatch Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 I can't, some jokes are just too easy... I guessing the winky thing covers him on this.
Scummer Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 I see they lost 5-1 at home on Saturday. Claridge didn't score.
hamster Posted 7 September, 2009 Posted 7 September, 2009 playing for nothing too. An excellent gesture of someone giving something back to the game that he has already served well. Good on you Steve. Did I hear correctly that Weymouth could go into administration THIS WEEK if they can't muster enough financial support? There saving grace could be that they actually own their ground (not the land).

After Matty Oakley's extra time winner I just remember the whole stand singing "Claridge, Claridge, what's the score?"
