saintstr1 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I assume Pards has his ear to the ground with regard to Scottish Teams but he might be interested to know that Danish International Winger Jonaten Johansson was released by Hibs last night and is now a free agent looking for a new club. Ok he is the wrong side of thirty now but a clever player with a good cross who also scores goals, May still be good for League one
SNSUN Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Can someone bring back the HCDAJFU fred please? :-D There are lots of freebies out there that CDAJFU. However Pardew IS D'ingAJFU, and I trust him to sign the players he thinks would be good for us. Johansson would be a step back IMO, getting on a bit now.
Saint Martini Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Do you mean Finnish striker Jonathan Johansson? HCDAJFU
saintstr1 Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 Do you mean Finnish striker Jonathan Johansson? HCDAJFU Finnish , Danish , Whatever ........ Still a very experienced world class forward & I doubt his wage demands wouldn't be to high...... Did he not play at Chalton at one time ? , Under Pards ??
CWD Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 world class? dont think so... CHDAJFU? Absolutely
Clifford Nelson Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Finnish , Danish , Whatever ........ Still a very experienced world class forward & I doubt his wage demands wouldn't be to high...... Did he not play at Chalton at one time ? , Under Pards ?? You mean Finnish, Danish just the same as English, German? I don't think you would like to be taken for a kraut, so show some respect for others.
Saint Martini Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I think he might want to stay in Scotland. His wife is Scottish and he apparently owns a little castle outside Glasgow.
Rebel Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Joe Keenan and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie are both on free transfers. Keenan can play anywhere across the middle and Quincy is a left winger/forward
St.Bart -No.1 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I think he might want to stay in Scotland. His wife is Scottish and he apparently owns a little castle outside Glasgow. Suggest we speak to our sponsors then, 45 minutes on flybe from Glasgow.

Danish Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Never mind, at least he didn't think that Denmark was the capital of Amsterdam It isn't??!!
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 He was pretty sub standard for Charlton at his peak. You only have to look at how Flo (a far superior player) did in this division.
saintstr1 Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 why wasnt he good enough for hibs? scottish football is well below league 1 standard IMO, bar a handful of old firm players. Hibs have a new manager this year who obviously dont rate him , just like AP don't rate Gillett , It Happens.

If you think Flo was a superior player to Johansson then I dont rate your judgement , Flo has been Carp wherever he has gone. Absolute Garbagge when he played in Scotland for Rangers.

Yes, Flo was crap at Rangers, but he was pretty decent at Chelsea. Whereas Johanssen played second fiddle to Shaun Bartlett. Also don't ever remember anyone paying 8m for him. And please don't question my knowledge of players, as you're way off the mark. You thought he was Danish to start with. Maybe you're thinking of Dennis Rommedahl? Think he only cost £500,000 when signed by Rangers who actually paid a staggering £12m for Flo !
Melbourne Saint Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Joe Keenan and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie are both on free transfers. Keenan can play anywhere across the middle and Quincy is a left winger/forward Keenan couldn't get a game for Melbourne Victory and after being released by Hibs recently he's back in Australia on trial at the Newcastle Jets. I think we can look for players a little better than him.
SO16_Saint Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 why wasnt he good enough for hibs? scottish football is well below league 1 standard IMO, bar a handful of old firm players. Rudi was pretty good for hearts, but was sh!t for us, so maybe it could work the other way around???

St.Patrik Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 I saw Johansson play for Finland a couple of weeks ago when Finland played Sweden. And I must say that he not wery impresive at all. Tim Sparv tho had a rather good game and he is one that Saints should have keept.
