Saint Charlie Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Two great signings today! The next question is how long before we see them in action! Could it be Saturday? These bloody work permits take time though so might be next week. I guess we should find out when Pardew does his pre match interviews tomorrow or Friday.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 I wonder if Papa Waigo has even been to the the club yet? Maybe best for him to get a good load of training before playing anyway.
pap Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Is Jaidi match fit then? Dunno, but he has been training with the team for some time.
kpturner Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Dunno, but he has been training with the team for some time.Has he??
waggy Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Papa has also been warming the bench thus far, think both the new boys will need a reserve game or two under their belts?
Andy_Porter Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 First reserve game is Monday, guess they will both start that.
Seany S Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Can't wait to see Papa Shango terrifying league 1.
Saint Martini Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 It doesn't say anything about a workpermit for Papa Waigo on the Saints website so I suppose he already has one.
hugh Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 It doesn't say anything about a workpermit for Papa Waigo on the Saints website so I suppose he already has one. The deal is still subject to the completion of any work permit formalities. Source
JustinR Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I think the key word is "formalities". When a player already has a work permit and just goes out on loan- no new application is necessary. But you prob still need to fill in a form or something!
eharty9 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 spoke to jaidi in west quay today!!! he said should have his work permit next week!
madruss Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 If Papa Waigo is in the Senegal squad then we won't get to see him on Saturday anyway. They've got a friendly against Angola http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=sen/fixturesresults/gender=m/index.html That'll mean Lambert & Paterson up front with no sub striker (unless Jamie White's available)
em00jie Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 That'll mean Lambert & Paterson up front with no sub striker (unless Jamie White's available) Where's Saga gone then?
Legod Third Coming Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Where's Saga gone then? on a coach trip would be my guess.
eesti matty Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Where's Saga gone then? International duty with Poland.
skintsaint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Thought Papa would have Italian passport if he spent his whole career there.
Sussex Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Doubt they'll be match fit in any case.... Patience...
John B Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Are work permits a formality these days with so much unemployment in the UK . What are the criteria for accepting players from abroad and are the PFA happy with so many of their members with no clubs.
St.Patrik Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Well on BET365´s site you can put a bet on Jaidi to score first on sat.
Saint Martini Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Well on BET365´s site you can put a bet on Jaidi to score first on sat. Ofcourse you can, if he can't play they get to keep your bet.
oxfordshire_saint Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 If Papa get's clearance, surely he'll at least be on the bench, what with Saga away with Poland.
S-Clarke Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 From the OS: New signings Papa Waigo N'diaye and Radhi Jaidi must await clearance before they can be considered for selection in Saturday's squad. guess there is a chance then
Psycrow Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Ofcourse you can, if he can't play they get to keep your bet. No they don't, you get your money back if he doesn't play
Guy Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Ofcourse you can, if he can't play they get to keep your bet. Jesting aside, don't you get a refund if your player isn't playing (or on the bench)?
Saint Garrett Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Surely an ideal chance to give lallana a run out up front with lambert? Is mill's/holmes fit yet?
