Thedelldays Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 woohooo.. now we wont have to put the price up stupidly and release terrorists..
Verbal Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 woohooo.. now we wont have to put the price up stupidly and release terrorists.. Before the woohoo'ing gets out of hand, where was this find exactly? The UK? Or somewhere pleasant like Yemen? With oil, sadly, price isn't related to the world's available reserves. It's related to things like political stability in Russia and the ludicrous potentates in Saudi, as well as Iraq and Nigeria - or the extent to which any of them are turning the taps on or off.

badgerx16 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Mexico. Hope that's a good thing. Think the Yanks might have a say in how the field is developed then, and will probably want first dibs.
JustMike Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 the likes of BP will still find a way of charging way ott for it, oh and then the gov will add their 2-5p extra on it again. 107p this morning, most expensive in europe again. And then today the pm drops massive hints about more of the "middle classes" have their paye tax raised to get the country out of the mess that labour et al created, brilliant!!
Verbal Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 who needs that when you have cruise missiles When you're right, you're right. Finger on the trigger as always, TDD.
Johnny Bognor Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Certainly easier to invade. Submarine access not so good though. Submarine access in the Gulf of Mexico is quite good by my reckoning. Probably has to do with the fact that there is lots of sea.

I'm not long back from France where unleaded was at least the same as it was here. Italy is more expensive! I filled up at £1.03 this AM.
skintsaint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I filled up at £1.03 this AM. Fark...and am complaining about $1.17 AUD

View From The Top Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 £1.07 by lunch time in most stations. Its the governments 2p increase that they delayed The Esso, Asda and Tesco within 1 mile of me are, now £1.03.
badgerx16 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 The Esso, Asda and Tesco within 1 mile of me are, now £1.03. Aren't TESCO doing their spend £50 and get an extra 5p off each litre of fuel again ? Nearest independent to me is £1.03 /litre.
hamster Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Aren't TESCO doing their spend £50 and get an extra 5p off each litre of fuel again ? Nearest independent to me is £1.03 /litre. + ClubCard points which are worth 4 x their value in deals making their petrol well under a quid a litre, actually equates to nearer 90p a litre. Can't go wrong imo.
