Papa Waigo N'Diaye on loan

Lets get one thing straight shall we. He is not a Serie A striker. He scored goals in Serie B but failed to make any decent impression in Serie A for Fiorentina. Hence the reason he's hardly played for them in the last year.

How we managed to sign him as a league 1 club is beyond me though. He could do well in this league. Very well. But lets be honest, Serie B in Italy is worse than the Championship standard in England.

When you're behind the likes of Mutu, Gilardino, Jovetic etc in the pecking order, I think I'm going to cut the guy some slack.

um for fiorentina he scored 2 goals in 3 games then they loaned him out

including one against the best goalie in the world behind super kelv, buffon.

In HD and 8 minute long video :)

Used as a right winger here as he has been in most clips I've seen. Would still be useful as a striker I think.

If that's Serie B it looked no better than League 1. Some pretty comical defending and a really nasty, career-ending tackle.

Speaking of golf, I have masturbated twice today.

I don't suppose you enjoy strangling small furry animals as well ?

:)

Great news - It has given all of us a lift and it truly looks like we have a little gem here. Get those clearances sorted and lets see this new Saints team in actions

i hope hes been on here and smiled at how many people are happy we signed him

...and someone... please tell me that he at least UNDERSTANDS English !

The whole Agustin Delgado fiasco was made worse by the fact that AD didn't understand our language so well, and then he had to take instructions from Gordon Strachan (!)...who as we know, has his own special dialect.

Having forked out £3 million plus on the deal Rupert Lowe should have invested in some reasonable standard of language education for Delgado...it might have helped.

Isn't it the world game... :)

I'm sure we have had players before that couldn't speak English. Coming from the Italian leagues and from a French background English would more then likely be a second language if at all.

To be honest, I don't think visits to Carlisle, Exeter, etc will be much of a problem. He played at Verona and the weather there is freezing in the winter, he would've experienced all sorts of extremes during the winter playing at grounds in Northern Italy.

Stadiums in Italy are garbage too, most are horrifically outdated and crumbling, St Mary's will seem like a eutopia compared to some of the stuff out there!!!

Only culture shocks will probably be the language (I'm presuming he'll only speak French and Italian?) and the food.

didnt see him v brum then?? Mellis was quality

I was there, and he flitted in and out of the game, mostly out, to such an extent that I forgot about him. When he turned up he showed why he has been considered to have potential, but his ability to assert himself on the pitch is non-existent. Maybe he'll develop it, who knows, but I don't think we can afford for him to do it here and in the first team. Apart from that he doesn't look like a natural wide player either.

You are wrong. He was one of our best players.

Anyway, Lets all do the Waigo! Lets all do the Waigo! La La La!

Followed by everyone attempting that stupid dance. Would look ridicolous but fun!

Skacel's gestures to the Northam,

Jesus' captain caveman haircut,

Now Papa Waigo's name and dance.

It looks to me like he's well on the way to being the most overated player Saints have ever signed....

Unless Youtube's playing tricks on me, I haven't seen anything that suggests that he'll set the league on fire. And his stats and other reports, plus the fact he has moved from club to club recently seem to support this. I'd suggest a prospect, nothing more.

I think some people need to calm down the hype. Nothing wrong with hope, but hype will disappoint you (i.e. Skacel)

The Echo seems to be reigning in our expectations. Wonder what they know to adopt this stance? Normally every new player gets talked up, even Young Pulis!!

You've answered your own question there spy. When buying The Echo one cannot even rely on the date in the top corner being correct. Nice local rag, but the Guardina it is not.

Let people be happy for once. Who knows what he will be like but I'd rather be excited thinking he will be brilliant.

I tend to agree.

I thought it was notable that the national press, that I've seen, reported Jaidi's signing (albeit briefly) but have, as yet, made no mention of this Waigo chap who, in theory, is a more high profile signing.

For instance, Jaidi got a one pager on the BBC's Saints site....Waigo? Not a dickie bird

Without wishing to p1ss on bonfires, something tells me that "the meeja" know more about him than we do....

Optimists have further to fall....

I would rather assume that he's going to be cack and then be pleasantly surprised when he isn't....
