Morph Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Still cant work out how we have attracted a player from the top Italian division who gets games there... Might just have something to do with ££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ Regards Morph
david in sweden Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Trust me, it will come. He doesn't seem to have played much but his goalscoring record doesn't seem to shabby, and at Serie A he must have something about him. His goal record sounds very promising when you consider the defensive morass that Italian teams play. Goal tallies are often very low and many include the inevitable " late-penalties" that win a game. If he is a genuine strike forward, and scores a few then he should do well.
mynameisthehulk Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 That should shut up and please alot of people on these forums any idea of the ca/pa?
Clifford Nelson Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I still reckon he has been loaned as a winger. Pace on the right and crosses. Where does that leave Mellis? Back to Chelsea I hope since what I've seen has not impressed. He will never play for the Chelsea first team and must have been offloaded. Unless he responds with the Waigo signing with fire and brimstone I hope it is goodbye in January.

Saint_clark Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 Mellis looks very useful to be honest.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I would play Papa up front. We need some pace up there!
saint_stevo Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I would play Papa up front. We need some pace up there! agreed imagine what the CB lumps in this league would think when we got a big goalscoring ball winning holder upper and a nippy gangly skilful bloke playing off him. Sounds ideal EDIT- just seen papa is 6ft1 as well!!!
Saint Charlie Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 agreed imagine what the CB lumps in this league would think when we got a big goalscoring ball winning holder upper and a nippy gangly skilful bloke playing off him. Sounds ideal Agreed. Certainly at home. He could be much more effective down the middle rather than stuck out wide. Have to see where he is most suited though.
hamster Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Um Pa Um Pa Um Papa Um Papa Um Papa Is that to "I am the music man" tune? Could be a winner there benji.. He comes from Senegal He played in Seria A and he can play "Where cane he play?" He plays the left wing. Ohhhhhhhh... OomPah OomPah Oom Papa Oom Papa Oom Papa Or maybe from Oliver: Oom Papa Oom Papa That's how it goes Oom Papa Oom Papa Everyone knows When he starts scoring, he rips off his clothes Then we go Oom Papa Needs work perhaps

Ed Rooney Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Lion Sleeps tonight tune In St Mary's Mighty St mary's A lion brings delight A weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Ndiaye Ndiaye Ndiaye Ndiaye Ndiaye Ndiaye
EBS1980 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I assume he'll take the number 9 shirt, it's either that, 6 or 35+ i think
Badger Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnb_LvF1mkY&NR=1 best celebration ever Anyone established what that song is ? Would make a brilliant anthem whenver he scores a goal.

John Cool Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 To the tune of Talking Heads Papa Legba... Papa Waigo, Come and open the gate. Papa Waigo, Another goal would be great.
ShirleySaint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Possibly the most unexpected signing in the history of football. Kevin Keegan, European footballer of the year, signs for Southampton - MUST come close?
Lazlo78 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Bizarre and unexpected signing but he looks REALLY promising :-D Song: Pearl Jam's "Why Go" from Ten?
hamster Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Pancake is a moron. Smurf was a rubbish idea we need to run with the whole macarana jaunt! hum da da de da de de Papa Waigo eeeeehhhhhh Papa Waigo 'Moron' is a bit strong I have to say tbf ss, but I do agree that every time I read him being referred to as "Smurf" I will hear that horrible Barron Knights song in my head and the red mist will descend. The Barron Knights = the worst thing to ever happen to the music industry
Crab Lungs Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Just posted on another thread, but worth your approval and consumption: Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_olk-R3KYUc Papa Waigo your so brown (LMFAO) It doesn't matter if we're one nil down or however many we're behind If you score just one more time But Papa if you cannot find the net Maybe you can make an assist Lay the ball off to big Lambo And send the Saints fans into bliss Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO! x4
Belgiansaint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Saw him play a couple of times on tv. If he can handle the culture shock, the guy's going to be a massive hit in L 1. I am thrilled.

saintrich Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Sounds like a good signing! Mind you didn't Pericard play for Juventus at some point though?
Griffo Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Just posted on another thread, but worth your approval and consumption: Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_olk-R3KYUc Papa Waigo your so brown (LMFAO) It doesn't matter if we're one nil down or however many we're behind If you score just one more time But Papa if you cannot find the net Maybe you can make an assist Lay the ball off to big Lambo And send the Saints fans into bliss Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Papa WAIGO! x4 I pretty much ****ed myself when I read the first line of that song.
Crab Lungs Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 The word 'No' doesn't even cut it. I actually think it's quite amusing. It's bad to laugh at your own jokes, isn't it?
imported_Saint_G Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 TTTO: Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqn4M1SPF8E Easy to remember and sing, think we will just use the chorus and maybe the breakdown at about 2:14. I will have a go at the first two lines of the chorus: Come On Papa And score us some goals
Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I actually think it's quite amusing. It's bad to laugh at your own jokes, isn't it? Self depreciation is actually a positive trait.
Crab Lungs Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Self depreciation is actually a positive trait. Well that's that sorted then. When I come back to Southampton I'm going to give it a go. (Not sure about the first line though, lol)
Um Bongo Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Did the Lambert one I made up ever get sung? Havent heard it at a home game yet.
Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 (edited) Well that's that sorted then. When I come back to Southampton I'm going to give it a go. (Not sure about the first line though, lol) How about 'Papa Waigo you're so cool Wherever we are you will rule...' As a replacement first line? Again, No is a valid answer. Edited 2 September, 2009 by Colinjb
Dan Johnson Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 ...can you imagine Paul Wotton joining in that. hahahaha I'd sign him just for the celebration...
eelpie Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Should be popular with ladysaint: "..Following the match, Papa Waigo became semi-naked after throwing both his jersey and shorts to Fiorentina supporters."

ROFLISTIC
eelpie Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Um Pa Um Pa Um Papa Um Papa Um Papa Terrific. This could be a great background beginning to OWTS
Bailey Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Boom boom boom! Let me hear ya say Papa WAIGO! Repeat that until it drowns out. Simple song, easy to remember, everyone knows the tune and the Northam could get it going easily.
Crab Lungs Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 +1 terrible your/you're gaff. ROFLISTIC Lol, I'm glad to see pedantry is still alive and well on TSW. Seriously though, if I heard that being sung when I'm listening way over here in Marbella on Saturday (if he plays!), I would cry with laughter. Just for the first line...
benjii Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 dont think this one has gone up at the Bari midfielder 5 - 6 seconds in. Lazy ****!! Also, great celebration.

benjii Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Club Papa Waigo, goals are free. Fun and dancing, there's enough for everyone.
Hopkins Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Lets get one thing straight shall we. He is not a Serie A striker. He scored goals in Serie B but failed to make any decent impression in Serie A for Fiorentina. Hence the reason he's hardly played for them in the last year. How we managed to sign him as a league 1 club is beyond me though. He could do well in this league. Very well. But lets be honest, Serie B in Italy is worse than the Championship standard in England.

Bailey Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Look slightly above your post for the full version, lmao... Lol. Ok, definitely not that full version! But the bit I mentioned in the previous post would work!
Crab Lungs Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Lol. Ok, definitely not that full version! But the bit I mentioned in the previous post would work! Why not? LMFAO Anyway, great minds and all that....
benjii Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Papa Waigo you're so brown... "Hey Mickey" Paul Wotton you're so white, you're so white you're total ****e - Paul Wotton.
mynameisthehulk Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 "Hey Mickey" Paul Wotton you're so white, you're so white you're total ****e - Paul Wotton. :smt041
Matthew Le God Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 In HD and 8 minute long video Used as a right winger here as he has been in most clips I've seen. Would still be useful as a striker I think.
Crab Lungs Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 "Hey Mickey" Paul Wotton you're so white, you're so white you're total ****e - Paul Wotton. I honestly think I would **** my pants if I heard the Waigo and Wotton songs on saturday over the radio :smt041
