Cannot believe this signing. Easily the best signing I can remember for a League One side. This guy is top notch. I saw him a few times when over in Italy last year and he impressed when at the top level. Good work, Pards.

Yes, exactly what I have heard and posted earlier.

I wonder why they are letting him go and I wonder why he is coming to a club at the bottom of L1 ?! I am not moaning or being negative about the signing - just a genuine question. I am happy but baffled......not an uncommon feeling for me ;-)

We've been chastised :-(

Please guys, the adults are talking about football.

That's better. In reality the guy probably wants to catch the eye of a better club in England - but if that means he plays well to earn a move to a bigger club then so be it! :)

Probably a similar thing to Spiderman - to earn a place in a premiership team. But hopefully he'll put a lot of effort into achieving that, therefore giving us some success in the process.

But with all our money we won't need to sell him ;)

I'm estatic to read the news that we've signed Senegal's right wing/striker Papa Waigo N'Diaye, when his national team room mate is none other than a certain left wing/striker......Henri Camara. No wonder the wrist band. Camara is a free agent, and still to find a contract.

Anything Notts County can do, Saints can do better! Woweeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!![-o

Great signing on paper.

I wonder what his grasp of the English language is like? Anyone know whether his quote to the Echo was via an interpreter?

Well French is the official language of Senegal though there are a number of other more obscure ones spoken. As long as he understands French we have a few players who can translate !

He's in for a proper culture shock going to the likes of Carlisle/Exeter - after he's spend most of his career in the top divisions of italy!

still surprised we've got him, after seeing the interest in him on the link above.

From seeing all the pics and youtubes on him, he's got something about him which will hopefully make him a bit of a cult figure here.

at the end of the day he has raw explosive pace - at L1 level against the dodgy defenders, he will (should) take the absolute ****.

This guy is class. I remember a few years ago when i was visiting my nan in Italy i was watching Raitalia. Had him playing for i think Cesena against Milan in the cup (i think not 100% certain) and thought he did really well. Of course i could be talking about the wrong dude as was like 2 years ago now.

If it is who i think it is he is tallish and a bit gangly, one of those players who looklike they are about to fall over as look awkward but don't. Quite pacey player. Good signing for us.

Think it was him - he was in Serie B with Cesena a couple of years ago, scored lots of goals too.

Not sure how Serie B compares with our championship/L1 though.

Serie A is falling apart at the moment - a lot of the clubs have big financial problems. Roma are bottom of the league and in real financial trouble for example. Only Juventus, Inter and possibly AC Milan are in good shape. Fiorentina aren't doing too bad though. A lot of the Stadiums are awful as the clubs don't own them - they are usually owned by the municipality and in bad shape. There is also no collective TV deal so apart from the big 3 money is tight for most clubs.

Perhaps the Viola needed to make dome space on the wage bill and we just got lucky!

I'm hoping he's got the pace we need up front and can adapt to the English League 1 football quickly and easily!

I dont think he is that good from what I have seen League 1 is probably his level and could do well for us

150 games 35 goals

Trust me, it will come.

He doesn't seem to have played much but his goalscoring record doesn't seem to shabby, and at Serie A he must have something about him.

1- wooT

2- Serie A is very well and good, but Vincent Pericard was at Juve and he was a shower of shyte.

3- is this the same Papa Waigo you could sign on Championship/Football Manager a few seasons ago? If so, he was quite good!

Sounds like a good signing.

Now back to the golf chat. Anyone played at Selesdon?

Yep I played a tournament there a few weeks ago.....a bit hilly, a bit fiddly, a couple of really crap holes and the hotel doesn't look as nice as it should be.

Greens are really fast - keep it below the hole.

P.S. I assume you meant Selsdon Park?

THAT is a very good point... say waigo starts well and the team storms up the table. Camara is still unnatached, so waigo, his good mate, gives him a ring and says come on back here, things are looking bright

possible...

Serie A striker in division 3........ I must be dreaming!
We must have lied to him about our league status - either that or he will be a disaster. I am defo going to Carlisle now, just to see his face when he comes out of the dressing room and onto the pitch. Should be under a few feet of water by then :-)

I reckon we just turned the table upside down when we showed him. ;)
