Pancake Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 http://firenze.repubblica.it/multimedia/home/1792689 W.T.F.?
Iowsaintsfan Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Dlo we have a shirt big enough to fit his name on?
CWD Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 sounds good to me. we needed a goalscoring creative winger (assuming that where he'll play) so this is yet more evidence that pardew is a canny manager plus his name is FECKIN AWESOME
aids victim Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 His celebrations are immense, he gets into his pants. :-)
Saint_clark Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 A new phrase for the match day threads then - "he will PWN them".
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Ok, we can drop the N'Diaye part, he's generally know as Papa Waigo, and I'm telling you now, he is pretty darn handy. Brilliant signing.

Draino76 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I challenge anyone to say they saw this one coming... I knew this player was coming in this morning but I was too busy google imaging packets of lard.
Saint_clark Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 N'diaye, whoah, N'diaye, whoah, He comes from Senegal, His name is f*cking cool. (Last line is a bit ghey, someone find something better please).
Ludwig Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Seems very very promising! Right winger/striker, brilliant.
Deanovski Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnb_LvF1mkY&NR=1 best celebration ever
Soggy Bottom Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 According to the comments on You Tube, he was being eyed by Galatasaray
Kingsland Red Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I think that at last, after about 5 years, a smile is coming back onto our faces! Papa comes from a squad that finished 4th in Serie A ! COYR
Greenridge Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Ok, we can drop the N'Diaye part, he's generally know as Papa Waigo, and I'm telling you now, he is pretty darn handy. Brilliant signing. And on his shirt it's just Waigo so not too expensive afterall
kpturner Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnb_LvF1mkY This is all i can find so far. Here's hoping..That is just video footage of him trying to run with the ball. Looks a bit leggy to me :-)
besty Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnb_LvF1mkY&NR=1 best celebration ever hahaha sensational vid
kpturner Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 N'diaye, whoah, N'diaye, whoah, He comes from Senegal, His name is f*cking cool. (Last line is a bit ghey, someone find something better please). "He can't control a ball" ....oh, that was Boa Morte
shurlock Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnb_LvF1mkY&NR=1 best celebration ever ...can you imagine Paul Wotton joining in that.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 (edited) Song for Smurf Here Waigo here Waigo here Waigo! Edited 2 September, 2009 by Glasgow_Saint
Tokyo-Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I think AP want to play in a liverpool style 4-2-3-1. I hope Papa will be on the right side of the attacking 3 with Lambert up front on his own getting on the end of crosses. This could also see AL playing just behind the front man, which I think is his most natural position.
Draino76 Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Just emailing the OS article to workmates who support Southend, Charlton and Orient. Muaahahahahaha.
Pilchards Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 hahaha sensational vid How about to the tune of timewalk....... 'Lets do the Waigo, YEAH........' [As we all do a silly dance too] We would have the room in the stadium i guess :-)
Tractor_Saint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 'Papa Waigo became semi-naked after throwing both his jersey and shorts to Fiorentina supporters' haha, he sounds brilliant! Thank god I read that before finding this below when googling the Smurf
niceandfriendly Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Just because of that catcy tune on those Youtube vids and his funky dance, I love this guy already! Cheers Pards you've cheered us up a bit. Let's hope we can get work permits for both our new players before Saturday.
Nexstar Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 YES! No idea who he is, not even sure that's a name, plays for Fiorentina and is a striker....bring it on!
Saint Stimp Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 He was pretty good on a couple of the old football manager games, and another signing I've actually heard of. Very happy about this one
Iowsaintsfan Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 How about to the tune of timewalk....... 'Lets do the Waigo, YEAH........' [As we all do a silly dance too] We would have the room in the stadium i guess :-) its just a jump to the left................ That would be great!
Matthew Le God Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 That should shut up and please alot of people on these forums
kpturner Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 I wonder why it has a tune that keeps banging on about Celine Dion?
shurlock Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 a bit of him in action (goal + assist) against juve
Arizona Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Welcome aboard Smurf. Lets hope he does have pace and is used as a right winger. With him, Mills, Murty and Harding we might have some decent width for a change. Then we'll see what Lambert and Saga are really capable of.
Saint_Mabes Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Amazing! As far as i'm concerned his name is Papa Shango. I hope he carries a smoking skull.
hectors house Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 What a roller coaster ride it is. At 5pm yesterday I was deflated as I was sure we were going to sign someone. Within a few hours I had convinced myself it didn't matter as the team are playing well and I trust AP. Now this news - I have no idea if he's any good but right now I don't care, ignorance is bliss and I will assume he is awesome at least until I see him play. I must also admit to feeling slightly pleased that all the "we haven't signed anyone, we're going to be relagated" brigade will have to shut up for 10 minutes - I imagine it will only take that long before they find something else to moan about.
suspect everyone Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Can I be first to suggest the nickname "Smurf", as in "Papa Smurf"? Thx. Smurf? Are you serious? Papa Waigo N'Diaye is arugaby the coolest name I've ever heard for a footballer (apart from perhaps Papa Bouba Diop) and you want to give him a lame token nickname already? I will be calling him by his full name, Papa Waigo N'Diaye, at every conceivable opportunity.
Pancake Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Still cant work out how we have attracted a player from the top Italian division who gets games there...
Langleysaint Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Still cant work out how we have attracted a player from the top Italian division who gets games there... Our sunny climate:D
Saint_Jonny Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 haha love the dance, would love to see that on Saturday! Love going to games when theres a couple of new signings on show, especially strikers! Bring on Saturday. COYS
Saint_clark Posted 2 September, 2009 Author Posted 2 September, 2009 Still cant work out how we have attracted a player from the top Italian division who gets games there... And what's more, he must be willing to sign permanently if there is an option to buy.
Saint Samuel Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Lets hope we see lots of those crazy dance moves this season.
St Will Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Did everyone manage to hold off slitting their wrists long enough to see this happen then?! I knew we'd get some players in....those panicking yesterday just needed to relax. Have to say I'm a little bit giggly with excitement about this signing - hopefully he and Jaidi will receive international clearance in time for Saturday!
S-Clarke Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 You very rarley see L1 clubs dip into the european market for attacking players, so this is a suprise - bit out of blue, like pretty much all of Pard's signings (apart from Murty and Jaidi tbf). Looks like the best of both worlds, in that he's a winger and striker - haven't seen him play, but if he scan score in Serie A and against Juve...then he's got to be half decent! Wonder who recommended this guy to pards?? Unless we've employed some european based scouts too
opthomps Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Possibly the most unexpected signing in the history of football. Was he on the hcdajfu thread? People were mentioning henri camera. Well if hes half as good then its happy days. Here's hoping the futures bright, the future's african it seems after Jaidi and Papa
DT Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Still cant work out how we have attracted a player from the top Italian division who gets games there... *adopts Roopey voice and ruddy complexion* 'It's the catering that is the envy of the entire Football League, dear boy'.
