Well, if you extend that thinking, there is no point in this site at all.

Why dont you drop the sneering-for-the-sake-of-it-cos-its-Alps ?

Finally you've said something that is accurate.

Oh, so you only respond civilly to things you find constructive ? Riiiigght...

The rest of your post is foaming-at-the-mouth b*ll*cks

And you only respond civilly to people who agree with you.

If the OP had been watching/reading AP's interviews, he would have realised that while Saga would like to move away, his commitment cannot be faulted, that he has been praised for acting with integrity and professionalism throughout (unlike say Rasiak). Despite patchy form, I think that's why alot of fans still have time for the guy - he does give his all in games.

Alpine makes the error of assuming that because players believe their ambitions are best served elsewhere, they necessarily start throwing their toys out of the pram. True sometimes, but not always.

Thank god nobody important actually reads such careless cr*p.

Not really, no. This just seems a pretty pointless thread all round to me.

But it's so fun. I want you to call me a 'Lowe Luvvie' cos I don't agree with you, just like the old times. Big kisses.

I love the way people jump on Alps back for having a perfectlay valid point...

you would think our players have been winning quite regularly to disagree with him

I don't have a problem with questioning players commitment/attitude as long as it's factually correct as possible - and for a bunch of ITK fantasists and in-the-dark forum posters, the bar is set pretty low.

=St Will;438190 If you have something constructive to talk about, and you make a thread about it, I will respond accordingly.

But he has posted a thread which invites constructive debate. If you can't see that and have nothing to add to the debate in the way of constructive opinion, then I suggest that you go to another thread instead.

is he wrong..?

do you think players lik lallana, sagga, morgan have what it takes/the will to cut it at saints and league 1 this season...?

No he hasn't - it's a pointless thread to find something to complain about. There's no factual information behind it, it's pure speculation. Even if it was true, what does a bunch of people on an internet forum saying that a certain few players aren't committed achieve?! It achieves nothing.

as does a bunch people telling is how not to worry...either way, it matters not and should be fine to say what we like..

So you are trolling, basically ?

I might phone the club and see if they need someone with a sports psychology background that can talk to the players and try and turn around their attitude. I'd do it for free and my love of the club.

-Morgan not a chance. But whether at his age he's got the boll*cks to try anything or needs to be pushed is another matter.

-Saga's got valid reasons in world cup year to move but check my post above - AP has been on record as stating that the guy's attitude has been top-notch. SO while he wants to move, that won't get in the way of performances.

-Lallana will stay - listening to his parents at away games they appreciate that his football education is best served by getting games under his belt. Again just because you've been linked with big money/team moves doesn't mean your head necessarily drops. If anything, all this leads to is a perverse form of witch-hunt i.e. we start questioning the commitment of our better players just because they are capable of playing at a higher level than L1...

To be fair - he has used the term 'suspect'. He has not said that they are uncommitted or temperamental - he is simply posing a question based on certain players history of recent transfer rumours and speculation.

Unfortunately such speculation is always likely to bring into question thier commitment to the cause - it goes with the territory.

I have been one of Alpines fiercest critics in the past often openly deriding his views, but on this occasion I can't see what all the fuss is about to be honest - I think he has raised a valid point worthy of debate.

Yeah but come on, he used the term 'suspect' but he's still accusing them of showing lack of commitment and temperament.

so, with 2 out of 3 could be iffy, yet alps has no point to make..?

odd

That's even more ridiculous - it effectively means we target our better players i.e. anyone who has been linked with a bigger club or is capable of playing at a higher level -irrespective of any evidence that they're acting like c*nts.

On this logic, there's only one possible conclusion: thank god there's so much deadwood and dross in the squad

& so the forum returns to the status quo.

And how marvellously coincidental that (despite my input) a certain alpine_saint is in the middle of it. Again.

Only Morgan - but if Im sure we had any other decent outfield players, I'm sure Alpine would be carelessly throwing their names into the mix.

This is a ridiculous post. How can you be sure he's only read two books on the subject. You're showing yourself up, mate.
