One possitive though is that by forcing the owner to donate the players to the club rather than lend cash to the club he can't do a Gaydamak and demand repayment at a later date when he loses interest.

Yes but that was not the purpose of the cap

No good if his touch is awful though! Which is why his career is in a constant downward spiral!

only seen him five or six times and on each occasion he took the fullback apart with is pace, but you are right his touch wasn't always spot on now his final ball.

As I understand it his wage at Brum was massive which was the key reasons for not renewing his loan dea. last January. So much so that when they didn't extend the loan period there were enough wages available to pay three players (Sinclair, Bowyer and Bouazza).

Be interesting to see who of the people who think it is not FINE think our attempt to avoid a points deduction was fine?

Morally it was 100% wrong to try to avoid it. Technically I still think the FL were wrong to deduct points. We got what we deserved, imo.

Always thought he was very good on the ball (and I first saw him playing for the Arsenal Youth side against ours at Barnet) but his end product was somewhat lacking. Would be fantastic in L1 if his head was right - and IF we could afford him.

The purpose of the cap was to stop clubs going bust as a result of taking on debt to buy players/pay wages. So I guess if the owner is donating money it's working.

Yes I guess so

But I thought it was also to stop clubs getting an unfair advantage in buying expensive players

I can't stay awake much longer, was hoping for some news. The Jaidi thing has been going on forever. On a seperate note I am amazed at S**tes signing any loan player they can find. A club in a weird place I think. A final point is that I read that bbc website and found it strange. Why do people enjoy making up pure lies about who's signing. I do read such things, but I dont understand the logic or satisfaction for doing it.

FWIW I think we will lose saga and morgan sooner than later. It seems that as soon as a player says they want out that they get their wish. and they also play dog p*o for us after they say it

They are not breaching the rules. There is a perfectly legal loop hole that means that if clubs like Notts County get donations from someone then it is considered turn over.

The donations come from there new owners.

There is no breaching of the rules or anything sneaky going on.

Its perfectly fine and legal.

Yeh!!!........we had a loophole, or so we thought!!!!:(

from the echo thingy...

Sky Sports cameras are at SMS, asked them what they were doing and they said that there was a press conference with a big money signing from a League 1 club. Not sure who this is, could be Beckford, doubt it though.

Sky sports do not have cameras at L1 clubs waiting to see signings coming in! You are pulling our plonkers
