At the bottom of the forum page, it says:

 

Members: 8,302, Active Members: 2,256

 

Does the term "active members" constitute to how many people have paid £5 to use the forum or is it merely how many of the 8,302 registered users have actually made a post since signing up?

It includes non-subscribers who've posted within a specific time period. I think it's 30 days.
