I wonder who the second club is who have had a bid accepted for Rasiak??

Apparently he's already spoken to one of the two clubs who have had a bid accepted and rejected them.

My best mates brother told me it was barcelona.

not lying just not confident on this occasion, enough to risk my 100% info status!;)

Don't worry about it Nick I appreciate the info. In any event Watford would not be that unbelievable with Smith going to Pompey and Rasiak doing ok there last season - it all adds up. Look forward to you confirmation.

anyone at Watford who might come the other way do we think? They must have someone on the fringes who fancies being part of the red and white revolution?

will hoskins would be very nice. smaller skilful striker who knows this league to play with Lambert.

As Tommy Smith is due at Farton Park for a medical (SSN) Rasiak looks like a straight replacement so probably no exchange.

Replacing Smith with Rasiak..... got to feel for watford there haha!

from Watford

Saints have had TWO bids in for him .... Reading and Watford ....... but, apparently, the Greedy B'stard "doesn't like" one of the Teams .......... I suppose mainly because they won't pay his inflated ego wage demands .... plus of course they want him to give 100% EFFORT to the cause ... something that has been sadly lacking fom him for us ...... even though he always accepts hi Wages with 100% enthusiasm

Lawrie Mac would have sorted him out long ago just ask Mark Wright:cool:

Yes indeed, during their careers in England:

Tommy Smith has scored 93 goals from 385(61) appearances = 0.20 ave

Greg Rasiak has scored 62 goals from 131(44) appearances = 0.35 ave

Oh............

Surely if you were looking for a new job you would want to get the best deal would you not.

That is all Rasiak is doing as he finds himself in League 1 through no fault of his own

Smith scored 17 league goals and 9 'assists' last season which I think you will find is rather more than Rasiak . It's not what they've done in the distant past that counts - it's what they can do now .

Quite. Rasiak is a proven goalscorer at CCC level, never mind L1, and will do well at Watford or anywhere similar. He just isn't quite up to premiership standards.

As to lazy, well to be fair to the bloke he does put in reasonable effort. He's one of those players that looks slow even when they are running fast. His main job though is scoring goals and he does that.

Saints messed him about under Lowe, so we can hardly complain that he wants out, and given that he does want out, a move to a CCC club rather than a L1 one is best all round. You could guarantee he'd score againt us if we played his team.

Losing his high wages alone is a plus, let alone any fee we might get. As others say, a nippy winger would be a good replacment, becasue we don't need another striker really *if* Saga is staying.

I'm not on about him getting the "best deal" .... I'm on about him being UN professional with US ........He TAKES his Money, 100% of it ....... but he does NOT give 100% to his EMPLOYERS, ie Saints .......

Apparently, you think that, as he's in Div 1 .. "through no fault of his own" .... he can just stroll around until he gets fixed up with a Club of his liking ??? ....... Fair enough ...... IF he wasn't still taking 100% Wages for 30% Effort

I assume that if you sat at your Work desk, only doing half your workload, your Boss would still be only too pleased to pay you Full Whack ????

Hardly breaking news, the Club has gone on record as allowing Rasiak to speak with two clubs and hence they must have acceptable bids from two clubs. Back to the bottom of the ITK pile Nick.

This is by deluded opinion too. And every other Saints fan I talk to in the real world outside message boards. Rasiak would be a 20+ goals a season player for us if he was committed, but he's not interested so get rid. He is symptomatic of the problems at our club over thge last 5 or so years, too many passengers happy to take the huge pay and do feck all in return.
