..according to AP's interview from BBC site. He stopped short of saying the ref. was rubbish.. but said that we had 2 or 3 good penalty appeals.

What were the incidents please ?, (following the game on text isn't easy.)

First Jacob Mellis was chopped down in clear view of the ref in middle of the box as he was about to shoot, then a cross I think from Harding was handed around the penalty spot, something the linesman if not the referee should have seen.

Lambert was clearly pushed as he went for a cross from the left in the first half..

If he'd gone down there it would have been given, as it was the ref assumed he just stumbled.

Most obvious one IMO. Saw it from the opposite end of the ground - no attempt to play the ball

The first one was a clear penalty IMO. The second was debatable. The Lambert push even I wouldn't have given.

So I'd put the 2 or 3 penalties as 1, 1/2 and 1/4 = 1 and 3/4 penalties personally ;-)

The ref was the worst I've seen for ages. How he missed Saga basketball dribble in the second half I'll never know.
