OldNick Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 So,who would win a fight outside the Alfred between the Torys and Labour? the Tories as we'd get our men to come round and do it
bigtonesfc Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 A quote from said site, "Apparently they`re always there after every game.....seems the old bill there are useless and let it happen all the time..." Are they for real? http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=73997
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 so, you dont blame labour either..? they could not have done a thing to stop it or make it less worse..? No because it would have happened under Labour/Tory/Lib Dem/Moster Raving Looney. Capitalism, and the way it is 'designed' always has these periods. Brown may have promised an end to 'Boom and Bust', but that was niave in the extreme. However, this isn't saying I blame Brown, because, as I said before, it would have happened under any government.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 Sorry, I agree. Here you go, more news about violence: * http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8219482.stm * The biggest problem we're facing are the lower class, young, Saints fans. They are giving us such a bad reputation right now, and there needs to be a way of keeping them from buying tickets.**************** Shut up you absolute snob. Let's just have the middle classes at the football shall we? The younger fans are the lifeblood of the club for the future.
Thedelldays Posted 25 August, 2009 Author Posted 25 August, 2009 Shut up you absolute snob. Let's just have the middle classes at the football shall we? The younger fans are the lifeblood of the club for the future. best idea so far
Seany S Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 I wonder if any opposition fans have wandered into this thread, expecting salty tales of post match aggro. They will glean that our fans are a bunch of whining, socio-political bores. Honestly, this place is like Question Time, Jon Gaunt and Jeremy Kyle all rolled into one at times. Absolutely brilliant.
emerson massey Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 Have a larbage, throw out your garbage. Say's Gary The No Trash Couger? Pick it up pick it up pick it up...Thanks sweetie Awesome

OldNick Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 . The problem is Saints have too many of these smug pseudo middle class type of fans.it could be said the same about too many champagne socialists as well. I want the best for my family and friends. Any sane person puts the interests of their closest family etc first and then thinks about society next. Anyway what was the trouble all about saturday, it seems as time goes by we are having more of this kind of thread after games
Wes Tender Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 Well said mate, i'm afraid i rose to the bait. The problem is Saints have too many of these smug pseudo middle class type of fans. You rose to the bait? A lovely turn about there; you were the main antagonist baiting the hook with your pseudo tech-college level of understanding of political matters. And mustn't it be nice to stereotype the electorate into their class just on the basis of which party they support? We are in the 21st Century in case you had not noticed and social demographics have altered things somewhat.
Saint Samuel Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 I had to endure the Brentford fans celebrating their point on Saturday as though they won the league walking back from the game. They were quick to run away when they saw how many Saints fans were outside the King Alfred. I thought it was quite sad how they celebrated a point at St Marys, it was as though they knew they're not gonna achieve much else in the next few years.
Foxstone Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 Well said mate, i'm afraid i rose to the bait. The problem is Saints have too many of these smug pseudo middle class type of fans. Bloody Hell ! Please tell me you are not one of the (thankfully) increasingly diminishing number of people who believe football is the preserve of the working class, and that so called middle class interlopers like myself should stick to Rugby ? If so, your socio-demographic attitudes are no better than Ruperts!

Your the **** yes **** that keeps making figures up, where is this constituency half the size of eastleigh in one of the major northern cities then? Have you checked the inflation rate for the summer of 1980? Your like most of the idiots on here just spout some bull**** and hope that nobody knows any better.
Toadhall Saint Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 Keep politics out of football. Oh and off this board.

lordswoodsaints Posted 25 August, 2009 Posted 25 August, 2009 Just heard the west ham v millwall game has been halted because of crowd trouble......makes our little scuffle in northam road look silly:-)

Have you seen what they do though? ****ing hell, that game at home to Yeovil in the League Cup, or last year vs Charlton and Burnley I was utterly appalled by their behaviour. But fine, if you want violence at football matches that is your choice.

He'll just pretend he hasn't seen this message, then when you point it out to him he'll swear at you and tell you he hates Tories because the colour blue did his Mum or something like that. Then I'll tell him that all shades of blue are not the same and that is no reason to hate a colour, and it'll descend into another boring farce. Perhaps he should just get back to cleaning pools or whatever he does out there.
Fuengirola Saint Posted 26 August, 2009 Posted 26 August, 2009 Some light reading for you when you're next in your deck chair. http://ukpollingreport.co.uk/guide/electoral-bias Fair enough, there are some inner city seats that are smaller than the usual, but i still haven't seen any half the size of Eastleigh as you said before, you haven't mentioned the inflation rate in 1980 though. ( I always knew there was a bias towards Labour with the boundaries, i think the Tories need abou 6% more votes to secure a majority)

Forget the politics for a moment, you really are a obnoxious little **** aren't you. What would be wrong with cleaning pools anyway?( I don't by the way i'm a builder and i teach English sometimes) You seem to be continually looking down your nose at people, be it the so called Saints Youth or anyone you deem to be beneath you. I really think your parents ought to take a long hard look at what they spawned.

Of course you may be a sub contractor and charge an hourly rate.Im sure you understand why I ask this.If you are self employed and make profits i wonder how that sits with your predudice against so called greed. ps I admire how you teach English perhaps you should come back and teach me and much of the rest of the population

I pay Seguridad Social for my health care.Pretty much the same as anybody else. Re your point about thinking about your family and friends before society, fair enough i understand what you are saying, but don't you think that if we built a cohesive society, it would be even better for them. ( I always knew there was a bias towards Labour with the boundaries, i think the Tories need abou 6% more votes to secure a majority) Eastleigh last election (2005) recorded some 50,000 votes, whereas Sheffield Brightside recorded 24629. In the 1992 election, there were 42,224 of the electorate who voted in Sheffield Brightside, so it took 20,000 less votes to return a Labour MP than it did 13 years earlier. The most extreme example you will have seen from that article was between the Isle of Wight 110,000 electorate and Na h-Eileanan an Iar, with an electorate of just 22,200, so that it takes up to 5 times more electors to gain Parliamentary representation in one constituency than the other.

It would only be better for my family if they were better off than a lot of the rest.I dont wish to condemn my loved ones to a very tough life of want and need. IMO life is unfair, you have winners losers attractive and ugly people. If you get dealt a good hand why should you throw it all in.I always look at Prescott, he started with the workers as a steward but as soon as he had some of the trappings of wealth he soon was lording it up. The same would be if the world was turned on its head, the lefties would live in the big houses and having staffr, but just without the posh accents. It is human nature, you do get exceptions but in the main it is that everyone will put their heads in the trough if they were honest. I dont wish to be abusive or dissmissive of your ideals but they would not work IMO, and one day I hope you will see not all people who have ideas right of centre are ogres.
Fuengirola Saint Posted 26 August, 2009 Posted 26 August, 2009 Eastleigh last election (2005) recorded some 50,000 votes, whereas Sheffield Brightside recorded 24629. Ah, you're talking about the amount of people voting, for example Sheffield Brightside still has 50,000 voters to Eastleighs 60,000, it is just that less people are voting in Sheffield. Areas such as the Sheffield seat contain large social housing estates and we all know that in these areas voting turnout is much lower and Eastleigh for example is an individual town which encompasses all types of areas. The voting patterns will be markedly different due to the demographics. Examples such as these in my opinion is why the electoral system in Britain needs changing to PR. Where i lived in England, not far from my buddy DP Saint it was impossible to shift the Tory even at the height of their unpopularity they still took the seat with a healthy majority.

I was watching the tv and it was pointed out that over 400 seats in parliament are safe seats! so it means those people have jobs for lifew and so no accountability. Now that is wrong, whatever colour of flag they stand behind.
