lordswoodsaints Posted 23 August, 2009 Posted 23 August, 2009 For only the second time yesterday I sat in the chapel with my son (usually kingsland north) and I have to say the brentford following sounded good. From where I was sat the northam seemed a bit subdued, the itchen north gave it a go but because of the stupid sanctions imposed on the itchen we are no longer able to hit the away fans from both sides and drown them out,I think this gives the away team a boost and does us no favours at all......it's time to once again open the itchen corner. Mind you I did have a nice snooze in the library (chapel):-)
John Boy Saint Posted 23 August, 2009 Posted 23 August, 2009 An observation that should be carried into the mithering about the team performance threads yesterday. Disappointing football watching weary fans v Championship winning football watching happy fans. The "terraces" are a reflection of the recent on pitch performances.
saintchris23 Posted 23 August, 2009 Posted 23 August, 2009 Couldn't agree more. In fact it was actually fantastic to have some decent away support and banter. Well done to the Brentford massive. We did give it a good go back though and sang more than two songs for a while too!
surrey1saint Posted 23 August, 2009 Posted 23 August, 2009 My son was sat in the Itchen(he couldn't get a seat with me) and said he couldn't hear us above the Brentford fans. Fair play to them.
Thedelldays Posted 23 August, 2009 Posted 23 August, 2009 one thing about the brentford fans they had great joy at singing (outside) "you're not big time anymore".. it was funny when a load of saints fans told them that they have never seen a set of fans be so delighted with a draw against the team adrift at the bottom of the league.. so either, brentford are garbage (which they obviously would not admit) or we are a dman sight bigger than them... lol, shut them up for a bit
oxfordshire_saint Posted 23 August, 2009 Posted 23 August, 2009 I was sat in block 34 and to be fair, I thought fan-wise it was a draw. Usually after they did a song, we responded in kind or vice-versa.
