saint_bert Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Who's going?? They seem to hate us. So it should be a cracking atmosphere. What with the Pardew factor aswell.

Saint Samuel Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I can't wait for this one, my favourite away game of the season, hope we can bring good support like the last couple of seasons, anyone in the Antigallican before the game?

Saints foreva Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 I shall be going, I reckon we will get smashed though.
Saint_clark Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Probably going. 11.30 hole in the wall you say? Excellenté.
RonManager Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 I shall miss this game as I shall be taking a King to Kingswear. I've only been to the Valley once, that was in 1975 to see The Who and others.
voteforpedro Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Been the last two seasons and think its been one of the better championship away days, so looking forward to it. Should be going with 5 others, getting the train from soton central probably around 9:30/10:00
Saint Samuel Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 I shall be going, I reckon we will get smashed though. I'll be getting smashed, thats for sure!
the scud Posted 31 August, 2009 Posted 31 August, 2009 i'll be there in the directors box thingy im going to watch in style
stevegrant Posted 1 September, 2009 Posted 1 September, 2009 Been to the Valley more times than I care to remember, so I'll be giving it a miss this time in favour of saving money for the longer away trips and the decorating I've been putting off for the last 3 months :smt017
Michelle Posted 1 September, 2009 Posted 1 September, 2009 Drinking suggestions that don't involve The Antigallican are welcome.
Pat from Poole Posted 1 September, 2009 Posted 1 September, 2009 Drinking suggestions that don't involve The Antigallican are welcome. Think I'll be frequenting boozers near London Bridge.
Michelle Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Think I'll be frequenting boozers near London Bridge. That was my chosen venue last time too. Nice and easy.
Pat from Poole Posted 2 September, 2009 Posted 2 September, 2009 Does anybody know if we've got the whole away end? Tickets have arrived in the post and they're for Row G, a bit low down for my liking, wouldn't mind being able to move further back, which would obviously be easier if we've got the whole end and don't sell it out.

Tbh I don't even think we've sold the first allocation which was under 1000. Should be plenty of room to move around at this rate, but having less than 1k up there is **** poor support.
bungle Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Think I'll be frequenting boozers near London Bridge. That was my chosen venue last time too. Nice and easy. Yup, plenty of good pubs in London Bridge, best bit about the day out.
Michelle Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Yup, plenty of good pubs in London Bridge, best bit about the day out. ETA mister?
Hemel Saint Posted 3 September, 2009 Posted 3 September, 2009 Think I'll be frequenting boozers near London Bridge. COLSLAW & TOSSA normally frequent the Southwark Tavern near the Borough Market in London Bridge. It opens a lot earlier than the Market Porter next door. and never go to the Antigallican. Probably the worst away pub ever!:smt118

This Charming Man Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 I won't be going, not with Carlisle, Ukraine and Oldham away all coming up. Been there many times before.

We usualy go to Covent Garden and have a few bears to start we will do the same this time.
REDARMY79 Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 Try the Charlton liberal club for a "friendly" welcome.
Torres Posted 4 September, 2009 Posted 4 September, 2009 Yup, plenty of good pubs in London Bridge, best bit about the day out. Better than the catering inside the ground? I know you jest. I'm giving this one a swerve - mostly because I am away that weekend. Although, even if I wasn't, I'd probably miss it anyway. Maybe I'd head to LB for some pre-match beers and then stay there to watch Soccer Saturday. The Valley is very dull.

Saints foreva Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Morning, We have sold about 650 tickets for Charlton; your best option would be to purchase your tickets in advance as we can not confirm yet if they will sell on the day from their box office. Kind regards Kelly Southwell Supporter Services Assistant Southampton FOOTBALL CLUB http://www.saintsfc.co.uk Tel: 0845 688 9288 Southampton Football Club Limited, St Mary’s Stadium, Britannia Road, Southampton, SO14 5FP

voteforpedro Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 I bought 6 today, there were quite a few others buying. 650 is really poor, but I still expect there to be about 1,500 there.

hamster Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Anyone travelling by train can get a free bottle of Coke if you buy a baguette with a voucher printed from here: http://www.bitecard.co.uk/BiTEMe!/bite_email2.html Bite Card's are free by the way and save you 20% from most food outlets at rail stations, so always worth having one in your wallet anyway. Offer runs until Sept 16th and no I don't work for them.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 5 September, 2009 Posted 5 September, 2009 Add 6 more to that total. I'm glad it's unreserved seating. Hopefully all of us who want to stand and sing for 90 minutes can group together and actually make it work.
Saint_clark Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 Another 3 being bought today. Pretty poor showing so far, but there seems to be a lot of people buying this week from conversations round me in the northam.
action man Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 just a note of caution, millwall are away to gillingham which is only a 50min train ridefrom london bridge,so expect a few of them around if you arrive early
action man Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 doing the 4 for 2 from parkway on the 10.07,still one short if anyones interested
hamster Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 just a note of caution, millwall are away to gillingham which is only a 50min train ridefrom london bridge,so expect a few of them around if you arrive early Blimey a bit of a faux pas by the FL if you ask me. The Millwall Gills rivalry runs deep, and after their hoolies got a pasting the other week from WHU I wouldn't be surprised if they want to puff their chests out a bit, plus some will see US as having a bit of history too.
saints-cris Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 Looking to get a few tommorow.. hopefully 4 or 5 of us going.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 Getting 5 tomorrow,we should take around 1000 for this,not bad really
RedAndWhite91 Posted 6 September, 2009 Posted 6 September, 2009 Getting 5 tomorrow,we should take around 1000 for this, not bad really Not bad considering they have won 6 out of 6 and we are bound to have a difficult game!
