Thedelldays Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I will go for one of my predictions as I am going tomorrow.. we will win 2-0 Lambert and Thomas
sambosa75 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I'll take 2-1. Lambert and Morgan. It will be hard-fought. We may even go one goal down.
John B Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I will go for one of my predictions as I am going tomorrow.. we will win 2-0 Lambert and Thomas Yes same score
Nexstar Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 2-1, but comfortable. Still a little glad i'm busy though.
krissyboy31 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 3-0, minus 6, let's get this part started!!
hackedoff Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I reckon we could get a draw from this game, but defending from set pieces will have to improve.
brett24 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Cannot see where the next win is coming from, I think the best we can hope for is a draw.
Truesaint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Head says - lose 0 - 1 conceding from a corner in the last 5 mins! :smt085 Heart says - Win 3 - 0 playing an awesome game, stating that we have finally arrived! [-o
Andyb1 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Cannot see where the next win is coming from, I think the best we can hope for is a draw. I think i might just kill myself. Its all over you are right, we haven't won any of our first 3 games..... End it all... 2-0 saints
hutch Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 They'll obviously score their penalty, and at least one from a corner, so I'll go for... 4 - 2 Saints
Leslie Charteris Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 If Hammond plays, I think it could be a 2-1 win. Is he here yet? Why has there been no photo of him with AP and his new no. 14 shirt?
Andy_Porter Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 If we play like we did Tuesday we will be lucky to even score. Hopefully the two new players will make the difference, i'm going to go with a 0-0 draw.
St.Patrik Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Bennett will miss the game - he is injured and thats good news for Saints I´ll guess
brett24 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I think i might just kill myself. Its all over you are right, we haven't won any of our first 3 games..... End it all... 2-0 saints Didn't want to depress anyone! It's just how I feel.
Saint_Mabes Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 2-2. A lot of otherteams i'd go for saints win but think Brentford will be decent this year. Hope i'm proved wrong!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 After being at Swindon the other night.. 1-2 Brentford.
.comsaint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Brentford are unbeaten in the league. They won away at Carlisle 1-3 on the opening day; drew 0-0 home to Brighton; and beat Norwich 2-1 at home the other night. We (up 'til now) have been pretty pizz-poor (to put it mildly) in our last 2 games away from SMS. However - we're at home tomorrow - and therefore we should have a bit more about us - especially with the new lads if they play. I'm hoping they will inject a bit more know-how/bottle into the side than we've seen of late. I don't expect many goals - but I do expect Rickie Lambert to score the only goal of the game. Saints 1 Brentford 0
DT Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Can you honestly see us keeping a clean sheet? With that 'corridor of uncertainty' at the back between keeper and defence? 2-2 or maybe a 2-1 if we're lucky.
Cabrone Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 A tough 2-1 win. Time to show some grit and determination.
dubsaint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 After a poor start, the team will settle.........Final score 3-1 to The Saints Please................................
Nineteen Canteen Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Danger is we underestimate Brentford having been promoted from league 2 last season. Quick look at the stats and they had the best away record in L2 last season and last week had an impressive 3-1 away to Carlisle who were no mugs in this league last season and of course a bit of a hike for Brentford. Must admit initially I thought a relatively straightforward victory for Saints and a march onto -6pts. Now though having looked at it in a bit more detail I would be very happy with a 1-1 draw minus the Davis heroics this time to keep us in the game. I still believe it will take Pardew 6 -8 league games to get us playing well together and to get clear in his own mind what his best team is. With time still on our side and the huge disadvantages we are overcoming a draw at this stage will be a good result and a display that shows somes promise.
Professor Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 If Hammond plays, I think it could be a 2-1 win. Is he here yet? Why has there been no photo of him with AP and his new no. 14 shirt? He's here, see brief interview at SMS on The Echo website: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4553168.Saints_complete_Hammond_signing/ Not into score predictions, but I'll have a go at predicting the starting line-up: Davis Murty, Thomas, Trotman, Harding Mellis, Schneiderlin, Hammond, Lallana Lambert Saganowski My feeling is that Pardew is desparate to get a first win and will put out the strongest team he can, even though the new players will not have had long with the squad.

No, I don't think he wants a first win and will therefore but out his weakest team possible. Professorial skills to the fore again, eh?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 If Wotton plays we'll lose 0-1. If he doesn't play we could win 3-1.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I need a confidence boost after the last couple of weeks, so I will go for a 1 -1 draw :-)
Doctoroncall Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 A draw, unless Wotton or Lancs play then a loss.
NY Saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I'll be happy with a narrow 1-0 home win but suspect its going to be a 1-1.
ottery st mary Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 2-0 to The Mighty Saints..as per my predictor job....But will be more than happy for a 3/4-0 win. Whatever happens 3 points you Saints. COYRs.
martel Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I will go for one of my predictions as I am going tomorrow.. we will win 2-0 Lambert and Thomas[/quote I am going for the dream result, 4-0 with a lambert hat trick.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Lose 0-1. Just had a look on a Brentford forum and nearly all of their fans are predicting they'll win as well, must be quite confident in their own team, whilst I'm anything but confident in Saints.
dubai_phil Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Was quietly confident on this one for our first 3 pointer. Then AP & OSM made it a must win game..... Hmm decisions decisions
egreog Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Saints 0 - 1 Brentford...........its still too early to expect a victory........the pieces are beginning to come together, but the team itself still has too many weak areas.........another fortnight on the training pitch and perhaps there may be a semblance of a side that can start to win a few points........... don't think we are there yet and the oppositions know it too
lordswoodsaints Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I have put us down for a 2-0 win on the prediction league but that was before the Swindon game so I'm not so sure now. If we are being outplayed again and pardew decides to do nothing again then we will be very lucky to get a draw.
bigchrisy Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 3 0 Trotman, Lallana and Lambert with the goals
sfcmick Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Saints must start to win so the best I could go for is 1-0 but if Brentford score first then 0-2 to the visitors.
