70's Mike Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 18,299 Babysitting can not get to the game my uncle is going 18300
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 14 - 15,000 a lot of people are still angry about the Swindon mis-match, then the extra expense of Birmingham on Tuesday
sainter28 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I rekon we will still get 20,000ish tomorrow!!
Toadhall Saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 17k - 18k (the Swindon game won't have helped TBH)
Toadhall Saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 18303. Me and my kids will be there. Where you sitting Alps?
Prince Jazzbo Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I reckon it will be below 15k. Many people will be reluctant to go after our last 2 results. Our attendance at the next game will depend alot on tomorrows result.
surrey1saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 People have very short memories. It was only a matter of weeks ago that we very nearly lost our club forever. It will be very sad for the new owner if we don't get at least 20K. But nothing would surprise me anymore COYR Stand up and be counted.

Our attendance at the next game will depend alot on tomorrows result. With over 11k STs and 2000 Brentford fans, you think we'll only get 2000 Saints fans on the day?
Saint_clark Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 im not going after Tuesday What, pray tell, does that achieve?
hutch Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 im not going after Tuesday That's OK then, 'coz the game's tomorrow.
red&white56 Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Predict 17,500 - I'm not going 'cause I'm going to see U2 in Cardiff!
saint_stevo Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 What, pray tell, does that achieve? I'm not an ST holder, so saves me £30
Saint_clark Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I'm not an ST holder, so saves me £30 What will you be doing instead?
Ash Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I predict 18.300. There will almost certainly be more than 18 people there.
Thedelldays Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 if we get 20k that would be on par with the Burnley V man u game shocking really
surrey1saint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 im not going after Tuesday Boy....you've given the team so much time!
Nineteen Canteen Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 17k - 18k (the Swindon game won't have helped TBH) That is the problem I have with some of our fans. One game and they decide sod it I'm not going until they start winning. Very fickle and the result of the last game so early in the season should have no bearing whatsoever on the next but considering past seasons drop out rate after the first home game (since premeirship relegation) then difficult to see numbers above 17,000.

So if the crowd is above 17,000 will you admit that all your incessant pontificating about the fickle nature of our fans is wrong??
WestSaint Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 I think the attendance will be down on the opening game but I believe that our confidence in winning games is a still a little fragile. Last season was dire and whether you agree or not, if we don't win home gains it does affect attendance. We like to see our team win - its a no brainer and the rubbish that was served up with last year will take a while to exorcise from the mindset. Fortunately we have now a new manager and a team building program which in the medium term will do us proud. Time to lower the immediate expectations but look forward to the future
Nineteen Canteen Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 So if the crowd is above 17,000 will you admit that all your incessant pontificating about the fickle nature of our fans is wrong?? I will if it's on a par with the Miilwall game but be honest some of the recent unrest voiced on this forum wouldn't fill you with confidence and how big is the Brentford faithful? As big as Millwall's? ST's of 10,500 ish leaves 6,500 to find on a Saturday slap bang in the middle of the school holidays and a game against an unfashionable team. My opinions a side the portents aren't exactly good for a crowd pushing 20,000.

saint_stevo Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 What will you be doing instead? Pre-season friendly for my club side, still massively injured after Stevegrant ruined my career so i'm Asst Manager this season
Nineteen Canteen Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 There's currently 11,300 ST's. HTH. It does - is that figure rounded?

Saint_clark Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 It does - is that figure rounded? Rounded down, i'd imagine. It's probably 11,323 or something.
Johnny Bognor Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1761089,00.html Fair play, I say. A massive increase over last season (circa 19%), which is impressive considering we are in our worst league position for over 30 years, having started on -10 points. That is without considering that we are in the worst recession since WW2.

Johnny Bognor Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 This probably proves that a lot of people WERE boycotting Lowe. I think you may have stumbled on the reason for this substantial increase in Season Tickets.
Saint_clark Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Seems so, I say "were" like that because I remember a lot of people on here claiming that it was merely an excuse, and saying that "when Lowe goes, they will find some other excuse not to return".
alehouseboys Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 Fair play, I say. A massive increase over last season (circa 19%), which is impressive considering we are in our worst league position for over 30 years, having started on -10 points. That is without considering that we are in the worst recession since WW2. We recently watched the Millwall game in a bar whilst abroad on holiday with a number of Dutch, German and other football fans, they couldn't believe they were watching an English third level game, with a crowd in excess of 20,000. When I attempted to explain our circumstances, what's gone on over the years and started on minus-10, they were further impressed with the amount of STs we'd shifted. I think this is unimaginable in most other countries at this level. We may have gained a few overseas fans that day!
St Will Posted 21 August, 2009 Posted 21 August, 2009 (edited) 18303. Me and my kids will be there. Thanks for the warning....looking forward to your post match analysis which no doubt will be full of positivity. Try not to spoil it for those sat around you, your kids included. Smiley thing. By the way, we're ****, just in case it comes as a shock to you and you want to complain to everyone about it! Edited 21 August, 2009 by St Will
